I have been selling on EBay for 23 years. I was a top rated seller. My sales have plunged the last 2-3 months. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem…no sales?
Thanks
CK

Yes, it is very common. If you read these boards, there are sellers posting on here every day about how bad sales are. Some worse than others.

Yes the past couple months have been extra bad.

A quick search of this board will show you plenty of sellers seeing a drop in sales.
It will also show sellers with steady sales, and sellers with increasing sales.

I see steady sales when I am listing new items to back up the existing listings. If I am not listing a lot of new items, I try to work the existing listings. Sales from existing/older listings are usually won on price.
I don't sell collectibles. I do see that most of your items are pricey collectibles. You have 30% off sales running. I can only suggest making sure your pricing is highly competitive on everything that is not OOAK.
If my prices are too high, my sales are slow.

If you list new items daily or every few days your sales should pick up. I list new items almost daily and sales are steady.

It's been a pretty good month so far.
Business plan: I try to sell same items in the same category.
"Repeat buyers" to keep things busy...do whatever you have to get them...freebies, etc.
Free domestic shipping and fast delivery.
Your pricing below other sellers of similar items.
Promote a little above 5%

Ya and so does liberals.
Always such a mystery when the land of Maui burns and investors like Blackrock come in and buy it.
But what would you know about that, you live in a bubble.

Yes, my sales are down as well. The interesting thing is, the Seller's overview in the HUB shows my sales are up 40.9%. LOL Something is messed up.

Can someone translate that for me?

I think comparing sales trends can be deceiving since there are too many variables with sellers who sell in different categories. I would be much more interested in impressions and listing view trends. I couldn't help but notice that since the 1st of the year, PL suggested rates are rapidly trending upward. Yet, my impressions and listing views are trending downward. Additionally, I'm noticing a lot more sales, coupons and SIO's in recent weeks. This tells me that overall visibility has slowed considerably, causing sellers to increase their efforts to be seen, including their PL rates, especially in the collectibles categories.
My sales have certainly slowed, despite adding more listings, and listing daily.

My sales were off a bit after 2022, but have been quite strong in the years since.
Way down in November /December 2024 - normally a poor time period for me anyway-- because I was closing down listings due to our Canada Post labour dispute.
Relisting after the shutdown drew in the buyers.
And January to March is normally my busiest period anyway.
Given your years here, what months are strong for you ? What months are normally weak?
Ignore the pandemic buying surge of 2020-2021, those are outliers.
Look at 2019/2022-2024.
