Sales

Have been on eBay for a long time, and my sales continue to fall. Never had any 0 sales days until recently. Sales usually drop when eBay changes something, but this is getting ridiculous.  "promotions" don't seem to do anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Sales

There are always threads on this subject on the Community.  Currently I think there are two or three other recent threads on the subject.  And we will see these threads year after year as for some sellers sales are simply not what they feel they should be or haven't been what you historically do.

I do think this time it is a little different for a few reasons.  During 2020 and 2021 we had lots of extra buyers due to the pandemic.  They were here doing their shopping as well as selling stuff for some money.  Since then the world has opened up more and a good number of those buyers and sellers are no longer here.

Then there is the state of the economy right now.  With the price of gas and food, many are just struggling to pay for those things to keep their families or themselves going.

My sales are usually slower during summer months and then pick back up about mid September.  However this year I'm with you, my sales have been extremely low and I believe it is primarily for the reasons I shared above.

I hope things clear up for all of us very soon.  Good Luck.

This speaks volumes

Realize that Ebay still operates & earns money for itself, even when you may earn very little

There are over 19 million active sellers.  We don't all do well every day of the year.  There are ebbs and flow to anything of this nature.  At no time during the year are we all doing well at the same time, there are just too many of us.  The threads represent a fraction of the entire amount of sellers on the site.

Re: Sales

I know I don't sell much during the summer months.  It picks up again in Sept, but July and August are usually bad months.  I looked briefly at what you are selling.  Nice pictures and I think the prices look good, but men's sweaters this time of year?  Do you usually have  a high sell rate with men's sweaters and vests in July and August?   Compared to what you sold last year at this time and was it the same items you are selling now?

Re: Sales

Re: Sales

Your store is 60 percent sweaters, 39 percent Polo shirts that still aren't going to sell fast in the summer and 1 percent Geisha figurines. If you want more consistency then you might want to branch out a little bit before next summer. Try to get some regular t-shirts or shorts or something, you obviously have a good source, maybe stock up when that stuff is off season. I wouldn't bother now this far into the summer season as I am sure those polos will be selling well again come September, and then the sweaters come October, but definitely prepare for next summer.

Re: Sales

This is holiday Christmas stuff you are selling. You will do better around that time. Or someone in San Francisco where its only 60 degrees today might buy these items. We in San Francisco are having one of those cold summers again where it is 60 degrees every day.
