Our family has 3 eBay Stores. All of us ran sales/markdown manager for 5 days!
NOT ONE SALE. Somethinng is wrong. Seems like with the new store lay out changing and other new requirements have halted everything even without running a sale.
Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
Conerned!
Thank for reading.

People keep saying that sales may be down because it is the summer, you're not taking good pics, you're pricing items too high, etc. I have been on EBay for many years but more seriously selling the last 5 years. In past years I averaged 15-30 items/month depending on season, economy, etc. The last 12 months have been abysmal! I have only sold 2 items this month so far! Recent past months have been equally as bad. I have never seen it this bad on EBay. I have alot of very nice items, take excellent pictures(or so I"m told), and price items fairly. Something is up that EBay is not telling us. The real kicker is now that my sales are so low EBay has taken away my Top Seller Status as you need so many sales a month to keep that icon. That's sure to hurt my sales more!

I noticed something today, I looked at my listings, starting with most recent start dates first, and in seller hub active listing view it shows nothing in the "views" column which I am taking to mean that my listings are not being seen at all. I went back about 100 listings (25 per page, starting with most recent first) and the views column is blank. eBay is messing things up and not admitting anything is going wrong.

Me, too. The whole number-of-views column is blank (360+ listings). I didn't know if it was a glitch, so I came here to see if anybody else had that problem. And sales have dropped abysmally. I haven't had an eBay sale since June 2 (over 2 weeks), after having a pretty good month in May.

I think there have been reported/verified "issues" with the "views" count going in and out. The views are actual clicks on our listings. Postings that state watchers showing, with "0" views pretty much shows there are definate problems.
The "impressions" seem to not have as many reported/verified "issues". For mine I checked the impressions which shows how many times the page that my items are on has been seen.
Of course actual sales are what we need![]()

As big of a company as eBay is, all these technical problems are absolutely unacceptable. It seems like eBay just puts updates out there without testing them. They need to get their act together. I think a broken site is partly to blame for lack of sales. eBay needs better QA testing when it comes to site updates. For a company this big, this is inexcuasble. Studies have shown that it only takes a few seconds for a site visitor to stay or go. If there's problems on the buying end, buyers aren't going to keep trying again, they'll go somewhere else.

My sales are down 50% in the last six weeks. I think having a 100% positive feedback score would count for something, but apparently it does not. Losing the Top Rated seal was the worst thing that could have happened to me, but I simply do not charge enough to handle free returns. I thought about marking some of my items up to cover it, but I am priced competitively right now and don't really want to change that.
Between the new rules for Top Rated sellers and the new rules for Markdown Manager I have actually begun to explore altertative sites, which is a shame. I have been on eBay for close to ten years, and I quadrupeled my business in the first five months of the year. I went into a bit of debt at the end of May and the beginning of June, thinking I would work within the forward momentum. It turned out to be a huge mistake. I have a ton of inventory I am hesitant to even list.
I always rolled with the punches, so to speak, when eBay did things I disagreed with. I don't think my business is going to recover from this round of updates.

Hi Everyone, just wanted to bump this topic.
I saw a lot of reasons presented as to why sales are down and only a few things about how to fix them, such as price or photo quality. Was wondering if anyone else had any more tips they would like to share?
We have ebay global shipping, international shipping, free expedited shipping, do ebay guarenteed delivery and are top rated/power seller.
In the last week our sales went down to 1/3 of what they were. No other changes to our inventory, just sunk. Ive pour over our dashboard, but did not come up with much. If anyone has any tips on things I should check, please let me know.
Best of luck guys.

The hard to face truth?
Store are suddenly being affected by something that is giving them a message "Active Listings Down" on the performance page - this only shows a few days.
Then their impressions start plummeting. You can see this if you go to the Performance > Impressions page on seller hub.
This continues for a varied amount of time for different stores.
Afterwords - for us it was about 3 months later - your performance page suddenly says active listings up. For us it twice said active listings up 25-30%, when our active listings were the same.
At this date, impressions started going back to normal, and we started getting some more sales. Although it has never quite went back to normal.
From the erroneous messages in Performance page, it seems clear that this is a bug.
I worked with eBay support, got passed around to the 3 who eBay said was the most qualitifed people to help us. All 3 of those people disappeared in strange circumstances, even after one of them saying they found something and had to arrange a call back, then never heard from him again.
One of them - a supervisor - was not even allowed to speak to me further after that, and a CSR on this forum then told me afterwords that customer service was treating us correctly now.
Customer service on the phone has been nicer to us, but nobody ever gave us a real reason for what happened. They tried blaming it on different things, the final thing being some sort of "risk factor" that they claimed was the reason for our problems, but they did not even claim this was the case until our problem was already resolving itself, making it obvious that this was not the real reason.
I had a list of technical issues I supplied to eBay and those issues were never addressed.
If you read this forum, it's so obvious there's some sort of bug limiting users visibility.
On top of this, eBay keeps intentionally limiting users visibility. Last week, they changed product identifiers. Product identifier searches are now saying it "matches less" unless if you have a perfect match in your the section considered the product code for your category.
In auto parts, only MPN is searchable. If you use any other product identifier field, your items will NOT show up, unless if you hit the button that says "show items that match less"...
It is geting harder and harder for buyers to even find your items on eBay... in addition to the bugs.
I truly wish more attention was brought to these issues. I'm not sure why eBay has not looked in to this further.
I created a massive post of what happened to our store, w/ screenshots, and my story with customer service, & updated it (and am still updating it) as time goes on. You can read it here:
My post where I pinpointed the message on performance before the drops/grows:
And finally, a post regarding the recent search changes (although I've found more information regarding this since then, it seems to be affecting ALL product identifiers, not just auto parts):

@rixstuff wrote:Welllll consider who listens to NPR. Very small (less than PBS) audience, usually with money and probably not shopping on Ebay anyway. So I would question the results of a poll asking such a tiny unengaged group about online shopping in general and Ebay in particular.
Huh? The poll was conducted as a random survey by a third-party research firm of Americans 18+ across the country and had nothing to do with whether respondents were NPR listeners/supporters. Rather, the survey results provided current info about the state of American online shopping and shoppers which was reported/included in a special series by NPR.
For more info about how the survey was conducted see: http://maristpoll.marist.edu/wp-content/misc/usapolls/us180423_NPR/NPR_Marist%20Poll_Tables%20of%20Q...
The radio feature the OP cited on Amazon was one of several in a series about the growth/popularity of online shopping and Amazon's dominance in that field. Other features exploring online shoppers and the incidence of returns and men being more likely to make big ticket purchases online were particularly interesting. So far this week , yes . Last week I did okay especially on Friday . Since then I've been adding 5 to 7 new listings a day and on the same type of items that always sell pretty well . Theres been minimal views plus not one potential buyer has put a watch on anything . I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or somehow my stuff isn't available for all buyers to view . So here we go again . Tulips

As described earlier, try searching your items. Not by the title but by the product identifiers. You may find that phrases you searched 1 week ago, will no longer be showing results unless if they enable lesser matches.
