I do the same manually download and Excel route that you mentioned. But I am just doing my taxes, so that takes perhaps four hours a year - so I really have no incentive to invest time or effort in anything else.
Can you explain what you are trying to accomplish? When you say "track my detailed sales", exactly what information do you need and how do you want it presented?
