I'm afraid the slow sales have less to do with summer doledrums and more to do with eBay's search manipulation and technical issues.   July 2018 was my busiest month of the year - July 2019 is on track to be the slowest month of the year so far.

My sales have been really slow the past month or so. I just bulk edited all my listing a few days ago and put all on promoted listings at 1% Since I did that sales have picked up.

It depends on what you sell.

Our July sales are about 8% higher than 2018.  But, according to the most recent eBay report, the average US seller is down about 5% through the end of June (comparing 2019 to 2018).

Yes indeed!  3rd straight day with no sales.  1 the day before the streak started; which hasn't been paid for & doesn't count until it has been.  Turning into the worst summer yet; including other online venues & the flea market.  Tough to earn $40-50 there.  People need to stop sitting on their wallets!  lol   This just isn't a "summer thing."  Good luck to us all.     🙂

Hey Moxie!

Yes sales are way down this month compared to the same month last year for a lot of people me included.  I checked your store and to be honest your conversion rate is super high for most sellers.  You have more sales in the last 90 days than you do total number of listings.  That indicates to me your sales could get much much worse than they are now.  It appears right now atleast you are sourcing items that sell quickly and pricing them aggressively. 

You should be looking at the items you have and your sales as a success.  Check out other peoples stores and see their sold ratio compared to listed ratio and you will see very few have more sold than listed.  Keep it up and hang in there! 🙂

Thanks for the kind words! My Pappy was a trader from way back! He would get in his machine and go around trading and once and awhile buying. So I learned a few things from the best! Still when in doubt drop the starting bid, And hope for the best.
