I was doing OK, Considering everything, Sales were coming in on a consistent basis, Now I suddenly find myself without a sale in 7 days, & They want me to renew my store,These times are more than frustrating!, Did they break something again?

Sneakers, Jewelry and watches are ebay's priority right now. Big ticket items to fund all the magical innovations

So I have answered questions like these many times in the last 2 years or so. The economy is tough and collectible sales can be very slow. eBay does have issues with the search engine. All that said, my sales have actually began the usual Fall uptick. eBay is a roller coaster ride. If you have another avenue for selling keep that up, but I would not suggest closing down shop on eBay.
One thing that has helped me a lot is a 10% off coupon on all my $24.99 and under items. I run it for about 2 weeks then do another. I send offers out daily. I am sure you have tried things like this. The one thing I have never done and don't plan on doing is promoted selling. I don't need to give eBay anymore money than they already get...

Interestingly, if you Have an Etsy account and visit the community forums there you will see the exact same types of posts about slow and no sales

Same here, not a single sale in 7 days.

Yes, sales are off for many of us.
The cost of a store should not be a hard decision. It is defined by how much you are trying to sell and the tradeoff between the cost of the store and what you would pay in listing fees to offer the number of items you want to try to sell.
The biggest driver of seller departures from the site in earlier years was the listing fees for long tail collectible items. The store fee caps them for many sellers at a reasonable price. The basic store at $29 per month is a bargain, and the $25 credit on Ebay shipping supplies each quarter is a bonus,
Running a retail business when there is no credible economic or political good news is always hard.

I hang around the crane game chat server where a lot of people sell on Mercari. Same exact complaints there too.

Suddenly? You mean your sales have been good right up till a week ago? Dayam. I'd be happy with that. Who do you know? What are you doing to get good sales up till a week ago?
Mine have been in the basement for about six months now.

I'm getting quite concerned, Sales have been dropping like A rock for me ever since the end of August. I sell Small Items and I usually average 8-10 sales over night. Last night 3, other nights nothing. For some reason during the day it hasn't gone down so much but it's still down.. Been here like 15 years, never seen anything like it. I Also sell in other places and the same thing is happening. I'm worried I'm going to have to go back to the Grind and get A real Job. I think the Economy is A lot worse than what the Government and everyone else is admitting.

Yup. On the Uber drivers forum, it's all: "they have too many drivers on the platform, uber doesn't advertise, and they charge too much fees, passengers don't tip, gas is expensive."
On the Reddit Lowes employees forum, it's all: "the boss sucks and doesn't pay enough, customers suck, I don't get enough hours."
It's not eBay folks ... well, not entirely. It is the caliber of people we elect to public 'service'.
