Too bad there's no way to set a poll on these posts. So what's the consensus of how these phrases should be abbreviated? Are there any other phrases that vary by abbreviation that we can add here? Any blues are welcome to come in and vote too. @Anonymous brian@ebay alan@ebay
I use SNAD and UPI.

I even abbreviate one of your abbreviations. I use NAD.
The S/I (to me) seems redundant.

The oldest version I can remember is SNAD, so I went to the current return process to see what the current term is. Well, that didn't help at all since there are 6 different flavors of SNAD/INAD/NAD claims and none of the terms match.

I use SNAD and UPI.
The ones that get me are:
EDD / ETD / EDT Estimated Delivery Date / Estimated Time of Delivery / Estimated Delivery Timeframe
The one I am used to using is, ETA Estimated Time of Arrival. However, I see ETA more frequently used on these boards for Edit To Add.

HA!
I just noticed I think I use SNAD also because when I call ebay and talk to them SNAD rolls off the tongue better as one syllable.

it is unlikely you will get everyone using the same acronyms as Ebay changes them every now and again for whatever reason Ebay has. So any given seller gets use to using a certain acronym and then Ebay changes it and the seller doesn't.
The original regarding a request for return due to an issue with the item was SNAD.
SNAD = Significantly Not As Described.
A while back Ebay changed that because they no longer wanted to use the work "significant". So the INAD was born.
INAD = Item not as described.
Far more of a neutral way of naming this type of action.
Same with others.
UID = Unpaid Item Dispute
UPI = Unpaid Item [this one being more neutral]
NPB = non paying bidder and that isn't related to any kind of action on Ebay, but a way to shorten typing out non paying bidder on a thread or other correspondence.

Every time I see EDD, I think of the Calif state Employment(Unemployment) Dept agency. Also my wife uses EDD to refer to the Education Doctorate degree in her industry.

Wow. I think I only know like 10% of that glossary. Looks like I got some studying to do.
Hope I don't make this mistake:

It'd be very uncomfortable for me to ask the CS rep on the phone to take a look at my NADs.

I always giggle when posters transpose the UID to IUD. I imagine discussing one's IUDs would be uncomfortable, too.
