SELLING HELP

You had 52 sales last month.  And from your feedback buyers seem to love you and feel your prices are fair and shipping is great.

So you may not be doing anything wrong other than you are selling in a very crowded category that is getting more crowded by the minute and you are now competing with all the yard sales popping up everywhere.

The first thing that jumps out at me is your use of all caps.  While a modest use of all caps denotes an emphasis on the word or words, the use of all caps in every word denotes yelling.

Since you are a long time seller, you may brush that off as nonsense, but it really isn't.  As a rule of thumb, don't use more than 3 words in all caps in your title.  Search engines such as Google don't like all caps either and will demote or not even show things in their search returns if the titles are all caps.

Some of your problem may be time of year.  School years are getting ready to end, so not a lot of purchasing for school clothes going on right now.  Summer clothes certainly would start gearing up.  But come August the back to school shopping starts off well.   But again, because you have been at this awhile, you probably know this too.

It is really hard to say what is really going on.  There are many of us in the same position as you are.  I know for myself that I do see a downturn in sales this time of year.  However I have to say that it does appear to be a bit slower this year than others and I have no idea why.

As you create new listings or update current listings, I would start vearing away from using all caps in everything you type into your listings.  That is certainly not helping you.

You also might consider putting your payment terms into all your listings that do not require immediate payment.  Leaving your payment terms to the imagination of a buyer is rarely a good idea.   So let them know what your expectations are upfront, just make sure it is an enforceable term.  Like don't say you require payment within 24 hours, you can't enforce that.  48 hours is the least you can enforce.  For me, I let my customers shop for up to a week before paying as long as they contact me within 3 days to let me know they are still shopping.  It has served me well over the years.  You are welcome to check out some of my TOSs to see if anything is useful to you.  Please know my fragrance TOSs are different from my craft stuff.

I hope things turn around for you very soon and I hope others have more insight to what might help.

SELLING HELP

First of all, I would like to Thank you for your service.

Clothing is a very saturated category. There are literally thousands of listings you have going up against you. Hang in there, things will get better for you. Good luck.
