SCAMS!

Okay, seriously? I am getting very irritated now. Been trying to sell my laptop for a while. First time I tried to sell it last week, someone bought it 8 hours after being posted. 0 feedback, had just made the account. Gave it a couple days and eBay had to cancel it because the user was not registered under eBay.

Reposted the laptop last night....for an auction this time starting out at 700 with a buy it now price of 1000. A new person bought it for the buy it now price with a sketchy name and strange domain name. Again has 0 feedback and just made the account....

Is there a way to stop this?

Can I set it to where 0 feedback buyers and new account creators cannot purchase my items?

Why is there not a system for new eBay buyers that doesn't allow you to make purchases after a new account creation for 30 days while the account is verified?

Any rebuddle would be great!

SCAMS!

List as Buy It Now with Immediate Payment Required.  The listing does not end until the buyer actually pays.

That will stop the nonpayment issue.  But it will not stop the scams.  You are a new seller listing an expensive item in a scam-heavy category.  This transaction will likely not end well for you.

You cannot block new accounts.  There are some settings you can use - blocking bidders with unpaid item strikes, policy violations, locations that you don't ship to among others.  These might help a little but not enough.

Basically what you are trying to sell is not safe to sell here.

SCAMS!

New or low feedback sellers selling high end Items like yours are and have always been targets for scammers. The very best way to sell your Item is a Buy it now (BIN) with immediate payment required, This stops most scammers. I trust you have opened a non payment case on your laptop, you owe fees on this "Sale" and this is how you get them back. You can't block 0 feedback buyers, we were all newbies once. Good Luck to you.
