SALES DROPPING!!!!

Hi All, hope you are fab. I have a huge issue as you can tell from the tittle my sales are dropping drastically, some days i just make 1-2 sales. have spoken to ebay customer service and they state no restrictions on account, i have even tried to bump up the listings by promoting considering making a loss still not getting any sales. any help, guidance by the way i am not a drop shipper and i hold all of my stock. any help on where i am going wrong or what i could do

Reading these boards, It seems to me many of the sellers with sales dropping as you describe are clothing sellers.

Doing a search for "Fruit of the Loom" shows me 2,829,830 listings as I type this.

You have an amazing amount of competition for sales on EBAY.

I am not in clothing, but I don't seem to be having my usual sales either. I still think the root of all this is in the Search visibility and GTC does not help foster any sense of urgency on the part of Buyers.

I sell clothes, but I'm also selling holiday collectibles. The holidays help. Sales are a bit slow. The market is flushed with competition. I make a couple of sales a day. The payment system is killing me. It took 31 days for eBay to pay me 531$ I use to transfer that in about 2 weeks. This is my 20th year. I went out and got another part time job. Can't count on slow money. Sad.

a first rate reason ebay needs to abolished the mangled payment nonsense !! It will not work with most sellers having to wait on money ! It is not a matter of facts or fiction its simply just a matter of FACT !!

Sorry to hear your sales are dropping. I have had 0.0 in sales for all of November. I too just went and took large markdowns.

Sales will continue to drop for most until Ebay makes some changes. I wish more than ever that they would do just that, but no signs of communication yet!

I keep listing GTC because I'm paying for it w/ my store subscription...but I hate it. I rarely get sales w/ GTC. What buyers I have are buying auction. "All I want for Christmas is GTC to go away. I want to set a time frame for my BIN" !!!

Compared to prior 31 days-down -56.2% market +8.8%   ,., compared to same period a year ago-  down -66.7%  Market -3.8%  ,., Seems like im starting to tank like ive read about everyone else,,.everything must be in place for this to happen ,Ive been keeping track the last 3 years on the 'Traffic' numbers- Way down from same time the last 3 years. Throttled down to the big time.. How long can ebay keep smoking their numbers? So Sad how things are turning out,.,Good luck everyone!!

Not only down 45% from last year most all items are promoted. Tack on the extra % . No one  can maintain this. I shouldn't be down this much has have almost 500 more items.

Sales are just awful! I am down 73% from last year at this. This is (usually) our busiest time of the year, we sell Disney and Star Wars toys and collectibles. In fact the last 3 days I have had one sale for $20 each day, which is really weird. I could see if all my 600 items only had a $20 price tag, but that is not the case. I'm being allowed to sell $20 per day and then it seems my store has a "closed" sign put up.

Ebay needs to do something about visibility, because it is not happening. What are we paying for here?
