For over a week, nearly every time I go to revise an item, I am being charged a fee. This is supposed to be $0.00 charge. I have contacted ebay, and the person I spoke with said ebay was working on the problem, but it's still showing a charge when I get to the bottom of the screen. I am backing out of revising any listing that is trying to charge me, and to confess, I am instead putting the item on etsy. I do not want to be charged for revising a listing on top of all other charges I am paying ebay. Is anyone else still experiencing this problem with revising listings on ebay? I believe I will keep putting these listings on etsy until the problem is cleared up. Not sure when I will be coming back to check if the problem is cleared up though. It is costing me alot of time to keep coming back and checking....

If they told you they are working on it, they must be exahsted because it has gone on and off for years! I just saw a post from 2008 about this.
Some people do report that the fee actually shows in their ebay account, many others report that it shows on the listing but is not charged to their account.
There are dozens of previous topics about this by members.
The only time that I know about ebay charging a valid revision fee is from their article here;
"There's no fee to revise a listing unless you add a special feature or raise your asking price."

Thank you for replying. After reading your reply and doing some reading of other boards on here, I have been enlightened about my initial problem and others as well. I realize now what I need to do.

Same problem here--what do you need to do?

Same here. I started a thread about it and was told it was 'ornamental' (I think that was the word used) and the fee wasn't showing up on oir accounts. Another member said it was a new fee to come. What can we do to stop this from happening?

I feel I need to begin moving what items I can to another sale site. Keep eBay as a side income instead of my primary since I cannot sell everything I have on the other sale site. I truely believe eBay will not stop this from happening. I pay very high fees to sell on eBay & there has to be a limit at some point for me. there doesn't seem to be much of a reason to stay on ebay in the capacity I have in the past. If anyone has any ideas of how to stop these tevision fees from happening, please reply.

Did you check your account to see if you actually are being charged? As mentioned earlier, many people have said that they saw the charge on the listing form but when they looked at view all account activity, they weren’t actually charged for those revisions.

What did you do?

If anyone is being charged when checking account then tag Trinton to the below post, he keeps saying it should be cosmetic only.
See his post page 3 on below thread link.

In response to the questions: "What did you do?"
I have been a seller on ebay approximately 18 years and so my decision was made with some troubled thought. Many of eBay's changes as of late have really thrown my sales down and kept them there. These "revision fees" are only the latest issue I have been dealing with over the past year or so. I decided to make ebay my "backup" selling place. I am in the process of moving what I can over to a different selling site (etsy) as my primary. Fees are not as complicated and not so high on the site I moved to. I am fortunate that there is another selling site that is good for what I sell. I realize others may be selling items that are not suitable for other selling sites, but, again, in answer to your questions as to what I decided as a solution to my problem was to move the majority of my items for sale over to a different "primary" selling site and make ebay my "secondary" selling place.

I did check my account for charges. In fact, I was on the phone with ebay when I revised an item, and they saw the charges on my account. Ebay told me I would have to write down the item numbers to all the revised items and call them with those item numbers so they can credit my account. To be honest, I have many items listed (approximately 1700) and it makes it hard to keep up with which are being charged when they aren't supposed to be. I tend to make daily revisions when ebay changes policies and it is not feasible for me to keep a list of the revised item numbers, go through 1700 listings each month to see if I have actually been charged. Like I said previously, this issue, along with many others, has made me tired of dealing with ebay and their fees. I am listing lots of items elsewhere.

I have noticed that too, for a number of weeks, I did check on my fees and I didn't see anything to indicate I was actually charged 10 cents.

If ebay management is planning on charging a revision fee, then they have totally lost it. If so, do they want us to sell items or not. Revisions correct errors in spelling and add more information to help sell an item, or we might want to adjust the buy it now price, up or down. Or if another ebay seller points out an error in the listing, which happens on occassion, I thank them and adjust the listing accordingly.
