I posted this in the Returns section but didn't get any replies....
I have a buyer who bought two items from me via my promotion (buy one get one 50% off). I shipped them together with a Priority label. She now wants to return one of the items. I have free returns but usually, the buyer is automatically issued a label from ebay. Now, eBay is asking for ME to upload a label. I have never done that. Is there a way to buy a label through eBay for this buyer? I only use eBay for labels....

Do they give you an option to upload that label through eBay?

It's good to have an account with Pirateship so you can create a label when eBay glitches out. It's free, and they offer the same commercial discounts. I am sure that there is an adjustment to be made with the weight anyway, so you probably don't want eBay to create your return label.

Yes, it says upload the pdf...but I don't know how to get that. It says add the tracking number and they will scan the pdf....as if I am supposed to get the label somewhere else.

@mynewfindstore go to the sold item, click on the arrow drop down menu to the left of that sold item, click on 'purchase another label'
then click on 'edit' under the addresses to reverse the to and from info

@mynewfindstore where it says 'return to' there is the 'edit' button

That won't work because there is a drop down and you can't change that address without changing it in your account!

@mynewfindstore ok, this has changed since way back when i used it. if u have a paypal account, create the label there, or on the usps website, or other shipping company.
you can screenshot it and attach it to an ebay message to the buyer

Actually you can do it but you have to add the buyers address as one of YOUR shipping addresses in your account. Use it to create the return label (carefully). And then delete that address from your account. It is super clumsy but that last time i checked you could still get around it that way. Probably easier to just buy a label elsewhere but you are not 100% locked out as of last time I tried it.

Let me guess. The buyer wants to keep the 1/2 price item and return the full priced one.

Actually, you only need to change the zip code on the originating address (if one chooses to do this through eBay) and that can be done.
