Reproductions

Just had a listing taken down because it violates the reproduction eBay policy.

But when I checked there are more than 2.5 million reproduction items on eBay.

I guess the new eBay AI only flags new listings because there are thousands of violations on there now.

Guess I'll throw it away cause there's no fighting eBay.

Just because you see others selling the same it doesn’t mean they won’t be taken down, their time will come.
It isn’t just AI eBay has a policy that prohibits replicas or reproductions also known as counterfeit items policy .
People report listings and eBay takes the listing down.

@bbcardzman Post the title, description, category. Often there is a reason you got picked off... and usually better ways to list where this won't happen.

It was Gameboy Advance Fire Emblem Reproduction

It's a cassette case made into a reproduction of a Gameboy game case.

There are literally thousands of items listed on eBay right now that violate eBay policies and these will not be taken down and have been up for quite some time. I have reported many many listings to eBay that violate their policies but nothing ever happens.

I recently got pulled over and cited for speeding, yet I counted 2.5 million other vehicles also speeding.  😉

I know nothing about your specific listing but there's a fine line between being a reproduction and being counterfeit.

I thought you were in the hospital, I guess you were speeding around the hospital in a Gurney, L.O.L.

I have a feeling that A.I. is going to be more detrimental than useful.

@bbcardzman So you had "Gameboy" and "reproduction" in the title?  When I search listings with both words in the title I hardly find any. You see thousands?

While that is technically not legal the people who own the rights to the various video games have never asserted them over aftermarket game cases as they are not something that hurts their bottom line.

I would not relist that one, but in the future I would call it an aftermarket case.

You put "Gameboy" (a trademarked name) and "reproduction" in a listing title and can't figure out why your listing was removed...

And you looked up the single word "reproduction".... not realizing how it applies to millions of items not similar to your case.
