Hi,
Sometimes I have to void and re-order a USPS shipping label through eBay. So far either because buyer changes their mind on shipping or because I mess up the ship date.
On my end there are then two tracking numbers next to the order. I called eBay to make sure both eBay and the buyer know there is only one correct tracking number and which it is.
They put my on hold for 1/2 hour and came back and said they couldn't figure it out; I said thanks and then I hung up.
So both times I message buyer letting them know correct tracking number. But is it clear on their end when they log into eBay and click the tracking number it displays? I don't want them clicking the wrong one and thinking USPS still hasn't received the item.
And on one of the items there is a hold on the funds in my Paypal account, I assume until buyer receives item. Will eBay's automated system know the buyer received item and mark it accordingly, or will the two tracking number mean I have to spend more time on the phone with customer service?
Thanks!
Eric

Yeah, so I just clicked order details and it displays "package 1 of 2" and "package 2 of 2." On the screen the buyer sees.
#$%^%$# eBay. Has anyone called customer service and gotten a rep that can actually fix it? Or do you just let it play out and hope it doesn't hurt your feedback?
I mean with the other order, my funds are going to stay on hold and I'll have to call and hope I get a CSR that can help?
Thanks,
Eric

Isn't there an "edit tracking number" button?

Sure is. And when I click it, it brings me to a screen showing the two tracking numbers. The only option on that screen is [Add Another].
