Has anyone else noticed the Quick View option in Stores?

Not sure if this is new or if it's been around for a bit and I just now noticed, but now when you hover over images in a seller's store it shows a "Quick View" button.

Clicking the button opens a pop up where you can scroll through the images and add to cart without ever looking at the full listing page.

Note - screenshots taken from desktop view in Chrome incognito browser (not sure if this is a test or if it displays the same on all browsers).

If this is the direction eBay is going, those extra 12 image slots may become even more important. 😮

@lacemaker3 mine was black in Chrome yesterday, white in FireFox today. Guessing even that is probably browser dependent and/or being split tested.

@valueaddedresource I am not seeing it in chrome, but am seeing the black button in Edge (and photos are loading properly). To get the pop up in Edge, I must click the black button.

So, yes, they are almost certainly testing various iterations, and, my guess is we will soon be hearing "Good news, Sellers! Tests have shown increased conversions when buyers are shown a Quick View pop up in your store...."

My only advice: Don't hesitate to use all 24 photos.

I would also advise using video whenever helpful, however, my version of the test (using Edge) does NOT include the video in the Quick View gallery.

Is anyone seeing video in the Quick View pop up, or just photos?

@my-cottage-books-and-antiques I found a couple sellers who use video and can confirm the videos do not show in the Quick View pop up.

Just for fun I figured I'd check some of the other sites to see if they have Quick View in their stores/shops as well. I'm currently seeing it on eBayUK but not Canada or Australia.

Anyone else seeing it on other eBay sites?

Now I'm seeing Quick View (with the button functionality) on eBay Australia too. Still not seeing it on Canada yet.

I'm seeing it but it has screwed up my ebay store, now it either redirects to different item than clicked on, or it won't take you to page. This is costing us sales and time to try to get it corrected. Talked to customer service last night, they assured us that IT would look into it. No changes this morning!!!!

Just a quick update - as of 3/3/23 I am no longer seeing Quick View in Stores.

Not sure if they turned it off because it was a limited time test, they are responding to buyer and seller feedback, or due to technical issues it may have caused or been related to.

I've checked in Chrome and Firefox both incognito and don't see it any more in either one.

At the very least if there is any text in the Condition Box that text should be added to the quick view page on any items listed as used so the buyer has a better sense of condition before adding to their cart.
