Question about customer not picking up package

Hi,

I recently sold an item for 150.00. I shipped it out quickly and it was delivered to customers po box. However it's not listed as delivered, it says "reminder to schedule redelivery" that update was the last and it was 2 weeks ago.

 

I'm almost to 30 days since purchase and I'm just wondering if anyone knows what will happen to this package. I can't understand why the lady hasn't picked it up.  Does anyone know what becomes of a package that just sits waiting to be picked up by the buyer? Will they send it back to me? I don't want it back lol.

Should I email customer and see what's going on?

It could be the lady is on vacation and has a mail hold in place? It could be that she picked it up and it wasn't scanned as delivered?

 

If the buyer doesn't pick it up it will probably be sent back to you

 

I wouldn't contact the buyer... that opens a can of worms and she CAN open a INR dispute and you are out of money and the item. Don't poke the sleeping bear (or Mike Tyson LOL)

Did you receive notification that package was indeed delivered to their PO box? Has buyer started an INR? 

     I wouldn't poke the bear if you haven't heard anything, maybe they don't visit their PO that often. Packages often get sent back to the sender if no one claims it.

If the buyer used a PO box as their address and it was delivered to their PO box, it should show delivered, doesn't matter if they picked it up or not.

If scan shows item was delivered, even to a PO box, you are good.  If item is not picked up and sent back to you then the Ebay MBG is voided and you need not refund any of your expenses, or technically any refund at all.

I have a PO Box. If I get a package and it will fit into the PO Box it does get scanned delivered. If it won't fit into the PO Box and one of the PO Lockers is available it gets put into the locker and the key is put in the PO Box and package is scanned delivered. However if it will not fit the PO Box and no lockers are open I get a note in my PO Box that I have a package to pick up and when I get it at the counter they scan it delivered then.

 

I used to get my mail at another PO that was really really tiny and I had the smallest of PO Boxes. At that PO everything that was a package was held behind the counter and you had to pick it up at which time it was scanned delivered. At that PO I had to constantly remind the PO clerk to scan the package when she handed it to me so I could see in instances like this a package could be delivered but not get scanned.

It still just says shipped. When I look at tracking it says.

Arrival at unit 4/8/22

Available for pick up 4/9/22

Reminder to schedule redelivery 4/14/22

 

Her address is a PO BOX.
