Question about Ending a Listing

I have had an item on for awhile now as a BIN 30 day listing. I have lots of watchers but no buyer. I am tempted to end the listing and put it back on as an aucton for a week, maybe 10 days, with the hope that a couple of these watchers will bid. Is there a penalty for doing this when no one has bought the item? At one time it seemed like there was or maybe that was cancelling a listing with bids. What is the current policy. Thanks

I have read that 30 day listings sink in visibility, especially after being listed several times.  Many have found success by taking them off GTC.

I believe fees are accessed if you cancel an item with bids.

Hopefully someone will come along to confirm that.

There is no penalty for ending a Fixed Price listing.
