Question About Ebay Protection.

I heard that Paypal will not protect items bought on Ebay for re-sale starting July 31.  If you buy an item for re-sale on Ebay with Paypal and if there is a problem  can you still open up a dispute through the Ebay system?

Question About Ebay Protection.

How many times have you needed to use eBay or PayPal BUYER protection?

In any event, eBay Buyer Protection continues and if you use a credit card for purchases you have the protection they offer.

Question About Ebay Protection.

Resale has nothing to do with it.

Once you own the Thing, it's yours to do with pretty much as you will. Keep it, sell it, paint it green, donate it to the dog's home.

You may have been given some confused story about Managed Payments.

If you are in Managed Payments, you will no longer be able to receive PP payments directly. But MP will still be processing your customer's payments  and those may be made with PP or credit cards as they are now, and also with GooglePay and ApplePay.

Your customers can Dispute through eBay as now, but Managed Payments will be mediating a Dispute brought through PP, or a card chargeback, or GP or AP. We have no idea what that will look like.

Yes.

I do however think that is an interesting rule.  How is PP even going to know you plan to resell it unless you tell them or they are following your store on Ebay.  It really doesn't make any sense to me.

Actually PP did make some changes regarding purchasing for resale.
