As I mentioned on another thread. Most buyers search "Newly Listed" or "Ending Soon".
I get 10% sales and it's the same with Auctions and 30 Day Fixed Price.
On fixed price, I get lots and lots of views and even watchers during the weeks between listed and ending, but rarely a sale.
I list 100 Auction (listing special) 10 sold.
I list 10 Auctions. 1 sold.
I list 100 Fixed Price Listings and 10 sold.
The very last thing I need are FEES from an uncontrolled relisting.
I remember when I decided what to list and when.
Back when what I list belonged to me. Now eBay acts like it's really theirs and I'm just an unpaid employee.

My problem with auctions is that most of my items really don't belong in auctions. Buyers seeking auctions want a very low starting bid, free shipping and all the perks. They can back out when the price gets too high, which is the idea. But every starting price has to include the value of the item (or what it cost me), shipping cuz I usually prefer to work it in, all fees, variables like packing materials, and my time and a bit of profit for it. If I list to low and it only gets one or two bids then I go in the red. If I list it at what I would at Fixed Price, and it doesn't sell, then it just doesn't sell. In fixed, it probably eventually does sell.
I recently did well in an auction, but I only auctioned it because it was that type of item. My other 90% really belong in BIN.
Good luck~

Listing my 3000 items as auctions would cost me a huge amount of money in fees and lost sales. Don't think I'll try it.
Feeling sleepy? There's an app for that.
