Promotional Listings

Has anyone else not been able to post the 100 free fixed price listings that started on May 12? It wants to charge me for them; calling didn’t resolve anything.

Are you adding the Best offer?
It must be Fixed with best offer & others are having issues with anything less then a 30 day even though it does say only 1 & 3 day not permitted

Adding best offer is required with this offer.

Check the terms & you can see this.

I always do a test listing before I put up a lot of listings to see if it's working.

If not then I check to see if I may have missed something in the terms of the listing.

Be careful with ebay ''promotions''! I used March 100 ''free'' auction listings - and was charged for everything, lost 100 x 0.30=$30
Calling CS did nothing, waste of time

there are many exclusions, terms, etc 'fine print' - read everything carefully before posting!

Be aware that ebay once again is playing games.

This 100 free listing is for 30 day duration AND must include the best offer option.

I AM doing them with Best Offer after reading the fine print, and I am still having them rung up on my 5o free listings for the month. NOT the 100 free Fixed Price w Best Offer which I accepted and see in my Promotions sidebar. What gives?

Where did it say 30 dAY duration? All I saw was 1 and 3 day EXCLUDED.

I have had a basic store for two years and during that time have not had any free listing promotions. I did not receive a note about the 100 free listings this month (May). I used to get the promotions quite often before I had a store.

Yes, I've been having problems too. Instead of taking from the 100 promotional free listings, they are taking from my 50 montly free listings. I just got off the phone with them to find out why. She told me that the listing have to be NEW to be free. Not relists. I told her I wasnt relisting, I was using the "Sell Similiar Item" feature (like I have always done in these promotions).  She said they have to be NEW listings, not Sell Similiar. I said I have never had this problem, is this something new they are doing which of course she didnt know. I told her it is ridiculous that I have to spend a lot  of time creating a brand new auction when I have already spent alot of time creating this auction, and when the item didnt sell, I should be able to use the Sell Similiar Item, make a few changes or add more pics, and list it. But for some unknown reason, sellers have to create a brand new auction to get a free listing. Make sense? Never does in ebay land.

Sigh, more misinformation from Customer Support.   They seem to be incapable of saying "I don't know" so they make things up.  I have used the offer for a relist, with no problem.

The reason that your newest listings were charged against your basic 50 is that the 100-insertions offer requires that you must add 'Best offer". This is mentioned in the terms for the promotion.

The promotion only works if you choose 30-day duration; nothing shorter. This is a glitch or oversight.

The actual problem with this offer is that the Terms has a mistake: the detailed terms say that you can use the offer for any duration other than 1 or 3 days, BUT actually it only works for 30-day listings.

THANK YOU! Im racking my brain over here trying to figure out WHY I cant get the free listing. I actually went and made a brand NEW auction just to see if it would work and NO it did not. So what you say is true. Wow, got to love the ebay glitches. They are making my hair gray.

I agree there. I noticed the same thing. Seemed like I was getting a lot more "Extra" 100 free listings all the time without a store now we only get the basic 100 free listings for the basic store price. They always find a way to compromise so the deal of owning a store really isn't that much better unless you are making tens of thousands of dollars each month off of it. None of our "Promotions" seem to ever come up right either which is very annoying.
