If you make a mistake and choose to promote a listing, it seems no way out of the lowest, 1%. No way to set it to 0% and only by spending a very long time clicking by 1/10th of a percentage, can it be dropped down. So don't experiment with this unless you like to pay an extra 10% to eBay on your sales.

Go to editing campaign in the actions box then on the set ad rate screen just click the X to left of the item you want to remove from the promoted list and update.

I never want promoted listings on any item. It seems like EBAY decided for me and I got invoiced $21 for promoted listings on April listings. There there any way to turn this off so that it never has to be managed item by item?
Just another surprise from EBAY!

I'm in the process of deleting my promotions now. It seems to work by just Revising the Item, then unclicking the area for Promoted Listings.

Such a corporate move! It feels like we are paying ransom for being seen or found in the listings. Being in good standing isn't enough anymore. My sales slammed shut and I had to do a lot to discover why. So, I'm adding it to the cost/price to my items like any good seller on the planet.
So I hope the corporate person or persons get a nice big raise or bonus and everyone wins!...Oh,...except the buyers...consumers...
Thanks for the rant time. I feel better now. I hope this works: to say yes to Promoted Listings.
