Promoted ad rate change

Don't use trending rates I usually set ad rates between 1% - 4%. Select your own rate. I get the same result using mostly 1% promoted.

Those are SUGGESTED rates, you don't ever have to use them, you can go lower or higher.

I don't use Promoted Listings much (not effective for me) but when I do I have NEVER used eBay's suggested rate.

Other sellers are using a higher rate, which in turn pushes the recommend % up. You can set a flat % or use the trending (may be the wrong word) rate.

It’s up to you.

I do think that you should get daily updates on any trending changes to these rates that you opt-in to promote.

Why? Those rates probably change every day, the rate YOU pick for YOUR listings never changes.

Not to mention the suggested rates on my listings make absolutely no sense at all. Similar items carry a very wide range of recommended percentages for no discernible reason.

Because, I like to know, what I like to know.

It would be a cool feature, know? Maybe in a

section called under Active Listings called “promoted listing changes”? Maybe your spending to much, could be that the trending rate doubled since you last promoted that listing? Maybe it doesn’t make sense for re-sellers due to the volume of listings, but if you have 40 active listings that you make by hand, why not save a buck?

So what you are saying is that if I choose not to use their rate and rather change that rate when I am on the "ad promo" screen, then the rate I set will remain and not be changed, but if I use their rate without changing it myself, then it will change when they want to change it? Because I was just looking where I click the 3dots and choose edit promo, geesh! Some of mine, well yhe majority, went from as low as 4.1% to 12.9%! I was like what the what! And still have 0 views on most of what I Promoted. I just unpromoted everything I had promoted.
