Promoted Listings

You can't use it until you have a history of successful sales.

If you have questions about what you have read, do come back here and ask questions.

You must do your diligence first though, make effort to learn it for yourself.

Basically you are charged an additional fee based on percentage you choose to promote your listing giving your listing more visibility 😄

I suggest you take at least 1 photo of the backside of the square shape coconut necklace you listed

Promoted listings pretty much make your listing better. You listing will appear in the front, and therefore will make your item more visible and will most-likely sell better. However, If the promoted listing helps you sell your item, you will have to pay a fee.

Promoted listings appear higher in searches. But if a purchase is cancelled or returned, you will not receive a refund of the promotion fee.

You choose the promotion fee for each listing, which can be 1% to 100% of the amount sale. The higher the fee, the higher the listing will appear in searches.

Ebay always indicates the trending average fee for each item, which will allow you to stay competitive with other sellers.

But again, you will not get the fee back for returns and cancellations. Thus, this policy can be a disaster for expensive items.

Looks like they do refund the fees for cancelled or returned items.

Promoted Listings Standard credits for returned items, unpaid items, and canceled transactions are reflected in the expenses section of your Payments tab or on your invoice as well, along with the itemized details (such as date, title, itemID, fee type, and amount).

Nope, you are 100% wrong. A refund of STANDARD fees is given for returns and cancellations, NOT the promoted listing fee itself.

Ebay has NEVER refunded any of our promoted listing fees for returns or cancellations except in cases of buyer fraud.
