Product MPN Issue

Hello

in the last couple weeks i have noticed a small problem(or not so small) all my listings with MPN laready included, when I am rivising them I am receiving an error that the MPN is not correct, even if it does and this listings are online for me more then a year, and even new listings when i am trying to add the correct MPN same problem

anyone else encountered these issue and maybe can help?

Yes, I had this happen to me last week..

I investigated and my number was correct(I got it right off the product) but didn't seem to be registered..

I went to a UPC/MPN site and registered the number- now it's fine again.. 

Nice that eBay is forcing sellers to update these sites/catalogs.

how long it will get updated and i can again list the MPN on the listing?

That's not even a site any vendors who sell to retailers use. But I doubt that ebay would be granted access to any manufacturers UPC catalog(Intertrade, GXS, etc.).

I know.. It's odd but it was the only thing that worked for me..

Perhaps it was a coincidence and the time it took to do the submission fixed the glitch with my UPC?

I haven't a clue..

The strange thing is, mine was a relist. The UPC worked fine for the first listing but then was deemed invalid for the relist.. GAH!

@beautysupply15 I believe you're getting this error because you're trying to put the same value in the UPC and MPN fields. Are you sure that the insurrection fragrance has 3700066700735 as both it's UPC and MPN?

I have found a solution to the problem 

Actually MPN is between 12-15 regarding the country of manufacture

I am just adding 00 to the correct number and thats more than enough.

for example: 36700066700735

so just add-0036700066700735

Hi 

I am trying to update MPNs via File Exchange, MPNs were previously Does not Apply, listings were fine. 

I have included MPNs which are OEM manufacturer numbers for car parts in the file exhchange template. These may include letters and numbers and be different lengths. 

Anyway, the file exchange revision template uploads fine but does not update the MPNs or brands from "Does not apply". I get a success report from file exchange but no change in the listing.

I am in Australia and the MPNs are starting to be required, I have noticed 30% less visibility due to no MPNs, I am trying to comply to the standards ebay demands. 

My account manager does not know file exchange, but I believe its a policy issue with acepting MPNs.

Any ideas anyone?
