Problem with variations in certain categories

Hi everyone, I recently encountered a problem with some products that I can't make variations on, claiming that the categories I selected are not adapted to it or something like that. Does anyone know if there is a way around this? I don't understand why this is happening. It only prevents me from giving more choice and variety in each listing.

Variations are not allowed in certain categories, and the other thing that usually messes it up is if you try to name a variation criteria after an existing Item Specific.  What category are these items in, and what is the name of each Variation criteria?

Also, if you are trying to make a variation listing from a "Sell Similar" at times I have seen that error message, even though the category allows it.

You need to start from a blank create listing page......

Also, some "sub-categories" under an accepted category do not allow variations....
