Pricing Options Question

Just hoping to get some clarification on what pricing option is used to set the 'Minimum' price. I was just reviewing a current listing in my "Revise Your Listing' dashboard and noticed that in the 'Pricing Options' section there was a 'Minimum' price just below the 'Buy It Now' box. (screen shot below) This is great but I cannot tell where I originally set this 'Minimum' price. There is no apparent indication that I set a 'Reserve Price' ...unless this 'Minimum' price is that indication (LOL). I did turn on 'Allow Offers' but a different price than what the 'Minimum' price is currently set at. I would figure that if I set a 'Reserve Price' that the control panel would indicate that by calling it a 'Reserve Price'. I am selling this in my new EBay store so I'm not sure if there is another control panel that structures the options differently which might be leading to my confusion.  Thanks for any help!

Re: Pricing Options Question

To my knowledge, that minimum is set by eBay based on your starting bid.  I.E. you can't have a BIN price lower than or too close to your starting bid price. This article confirms that: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/selling-buy-now?id=4109 "In most categories, the Buy It Now price must be at least 30% higher than the auction price."

Re: Pricing Options Question

Thanks for your help. Oh so this Minimum price I'm seeing is a BIN price? I see the option to set a BIN price but does EBay otherwise automatically generate a BIN price? Thanks again!

Okay I'm a dummy. That Minimum price is a suggestion. Got it now. Thanks again!

Re: Pricing Options Question

No; that 'minimum price' has NOTHING to do with a 'suggestion';

Because you started an 'Auction' at $1000, there is a MINIMUM of what the Buy It Now price can be (That's why that is shown there under the Buy It Now). It obviously can't be 'under' the starting price but must 'exceed' that 'Auction Opening Price' by a certain MINIMUM percentage.
