Sold an item last night for $129.99. Was about to print the shipping label when I noticed the address was a bit odd.. appears to be a random bowling alley in Delaware. Did a search on Google and the exact address came up in scams involving Chinese buyers purchasing items, then after 90 days claiming the item never arrived and getting refunds.
What's my play here? I don't want to ship this item. How do I properly cancel this order, notify eBay of a potential fraudulent buyer and relist my item without getting dinged?

Any mention in there of ebay and paypal having your back if the transaction goes sideways?
This is no different than any other sale. The OP has been told what his protections are.
I disagree.
If you sell in the US at least you have more options if there is a problem.
And while OP was told what he is being forced to, I see no mention of any protection if he follows it.

@tunicaslot wrote:I've researched that ship forwarder and the advice you are giving is wrong. There are many positive reviews for this place. Like any ship forwarder - scammers will find a way to abuse the system - just like they do with FedEx, UPS and USPS.
The address is legit - the buyer paid - the item has to be shipped. Just because a few people had problems does not mean everyone will have problems. To cancel and choose problem with seller address is fraud.
Where did you find positive reviews? I can't even find a phone # let alone a positive ID that the company even is a reshipper

Evening,
You are in a difficult place yet in reality you really are not.
Sounds confusing...well that'ts because of the rules of commerce from Ebay and especially Paypal.
If you want to sell here...well you need to know you are at risk especially for the first 30 days under ebay rules...then 180 for paypal.
These are the rules that the scammers manipulate and use to take advantage of good folks...many times stealing their products right out from under a good sellers nose with little the good seller can do.
You MUST follow the rules.
If you are looking for ways to split hairs over how to get out of this transaction then after this is all over you really need to think about the future of selling here...it's not going to get any better.
If Paypal gives you the go ahead to ship...then you are obligated to ship...as long as you want to continue to use them and ebay. If you are concerned...which seems to be a legitimate concern...then you now know the answer...save your money/product because you are the only one that can truly do that here but then you risk the consequences of a defect from ebay.
From what you are saying, I would not take the risk!
Mr C

I just saw what the item in question is. And it is going to be a long 90 days.

Well... thanks for advice everyone. I guess I really have no choice but to ship. Wish the person who said he's "researched" this reshipper to be legit would respond as I see no real track record of this being a reshipper. I've shipped to reshippers with legit websites before, including for an item that was nearly $1K without issue but this one just seems so sketch..

I'd noticed same thing; I proceeded as they paid...Yet I had a gut feeling something didn't seem right. I'll see. Soon.

I've shipped packages to that forwarder and didn't have any problems.
As long as you have tracking that shows it was delivered to that address, the customer can't claim they didn't get the package.
