Hi
I’ve just sold a designer coat and the seller has 0 feedback, the account was created this year, they live overseas and didn’t message me before buying the item. Should I be worried this is going to be some sort of scam? I will obviously send the item fully tracked and signed for but it is going to the eBay global shipping programme warehouse who I assume then send off to the buyer. I’m worried they’re going to claim the money back once received then I’m out of pocket £350?

If you are using eBays Global Shipping program. eBay has charge the buyer the item price, plus insurance, customs fees and extra shipping for eBays warehouse to the buyers address. Just because the buyer is new, that its not an automatic scam.
Good luck on your selling journey.

Well you do have global shipping going on with that item:
And for claiming item not as described: it could happen with any purchaser:
So simply put: is it worth the risk:
Now that said: this should have been decided prior to listing it.
A upset buyer is not a good thing for eBay if you cancel.

You're in the UK. Might want to post on their board.

@enyastewart2403 I sell to anyone who wants to purchase one of my items. I sell to zero FB buyers all the time. I sell both highly expensive and very low-priced items and have never been scammed, not once. I can count the few returns I've ever had over the years. All this talk about scammers only intensifies the fears of newbie sellers. You wanted to sell your item and now you have. Try to remain positive all will be fine. Best of luck to you....

The item will be signed for when it reaches the global shipping program. Not by the buyer.

Exactly. The billions of sales that went smoothly are not discussed on this board. To visit this board, a newbie seller would be horrified and think that a high percentage of sales ended up in a scam.

I didn’t realise but same concept no matter when I’m based?

Yeah I understand this so surely if they try claim the item was never received and I have proof it was signed and received at the global shipping address then a not received item claim wouldn’t go against me?

Hmm You need to go to the UK site and see what protections you have with global shipping.
May be different than the US ones.

Below £450 Signature delivery is not required.
SIGNATURE can slow the delivery. You're covered when regular tracking shows delivered.
If the buyer receives it and is not happy she can still open a return case.
