Hi,
eBay used to consider it a breach of feedback policy if a customer left a positive feedback with a negative remark and vice versa. I have had a few such feedbacks successfully appealed with no fuss in the past. The whole point of a top rated seller can't be given a negative for a week is to allow tempers to cool, but this customer effectively bypassed that by leaving it as a positive. However for a recent transaction eBay has refused to accept an appeal for a positive (green) feedback with a negative comment; is anyone aware of any recent changes in eBay's feedback policy regarding this, or am I just running into less-than-helpful reps?
I'd love to work it out directly with the customer and I have many times in the past, but I rely on eBay's policies as well, this customer hasn't opened a return or even messaged saying he wants to return it so I'm a bit miffed. If I buy something that doesn't live up to my standards (and is too inexpensive to return) I would at least send a message to the seller and ask for some sort of a resolution. Anyway this is beside the point; I would instead like assistance with whether this is considered a feedback policy violation or not
I remember reading on eBay's FAQs a long time ago in black and white that this was considered a policy violation. If it still is, can someone help me find that page again? It may be removed or my Google skills may be severely lacking today. Thank you!

@industrialschmerz While the policy hasn't changed on leaving false positives, I always felt it applied more to sellers then to buyers, as buyers have the ability to leave negatives. I'll have to read the policy again.
However I just wanted to point out that I went to look at the comment before replying- and I couldn't find it. I had to scroll twice, while specifically looking for it, and only on the second time did my eyes catch it. It's already half way down your first page already. Your rating doesn't change so once this moves to the second page no one will see it. Besides even when reading what they wrote, the buyer comes across as a spoiled brat so rather than making you look badly it works completely against the buyer. You really have no need to worry yourself over this, you have won already. Best of luck to you....

I would just ignore it..
I rarely read the comments on positive FB when vetting a seller.
I focus on the neg & neutrals and even more importantly the replies sellers have made to those FBs.
I don't believe this FB will have any affect on your sales.
People in life that are the happiest don't have the most,, they make the most of what they have...

Thank you Don and Lamber, you're right... it really isn't a big deal and I'm not a volume seller so it'll take a few more days or a week but it'll disappear into the second page and no one will see it.
I wouldn't even discuss this issue here if eBay had never had this policy but they DID and I have used this in the past for exact instances such as these. Now if the policy has changed then of course I have to suck it up, it is their platform after all. But if I and other sellers with similar issues don't confront eBay every time this happens we'll soon enter a stage where eBay will start refusing most feedback appeals even if justified. But I do appreciate you both for your time and advice.

On other thing is such is also a positive with very low ratings (usuaky the lowest they can give you.
Also use such when you request a change.
So I would go with conflicting feedback: with a negative in a positive: with low seller rates by user.
