I'm more than miffed that eBay allows buyers to leave negative, untrue feedback for sellers that have impeccable feedback ratings. I recently sold a dress that had all measurements listed, as well as a copy of the tag in it. My listing also states I do not accept returns. My buyer found it didn't fit her when it arrived and asked to return it. I told her I didn't accept returns, that eBay has a buyer protection policy, and that all measurements were stated within the listing. eBay allowed her to leave negative feedback even though I reached out to her and protested same to eBay! Because I would not accept her return she was allowed to tarnish my feedback record and eBay obviously doesn't care. You would think, if you've done everything possible to adequately list an item, and you have had a 100% feedback rating for over 6 years, that eBay just might take note of that and see she was one disgruntled buyer. I protested and the rude eBay agent said 'she'd have it investigated' but of course that went no where. Makes me want to sell elsewhere after 13 years as a buyer/seller on eBay 😞

Nothing good will ever come out of not accepting a return for an item the buyer does want or can't use. This is why a no return policy is meaningless IMO - there certainly are some exceptions to this like selling time sensitve items - but with clothing no way - we sell clothing and never had a no return policy. No returns DOES NOT mean the same as no refunds and if the buyer claims a Not As Described case- the seller will refund original payment plus pay for return shipping. If the reason is a fit issue (remorse reason) - the buyer pays return postage and has the sellers has the option of refunding the original separated shipping charge. Big difference.
FB is no longer a seller performance evaluation metric. Having one red hickey on your record is no the end of the world - it will go away after 365 days. Soon or late every body get one - tag your it.

Nobody tarnished your reputation but you. That negative has positive wording and your reply to her makes you look like a hothead. As a buyer I would have passed by that negative because I know that all sellers get some buyers who are impossible to please. However you snarked back and that is what your future buyers will see.
Furthermore you are expecting people to follow policy yet feel you can violate it by leaving a bad comment on her feedback? There was someone here last week who had their selling privileges suspended for leaving negative comments for buyers.

Buyers are allowed to leave an opinion about the overall transaction not just the listing. This buyer obviously was not happy with the overall transaction.
Good Luck Selling!

I'm confused........this is the feedback I see with a neg:
Great seller response. Was prompt and accountable in my transaction no
Then this response from you...
Listing states no returns-measurements in listing-SELLERS BEWARE!! BAD!!!!
Did she revise the feedback?

And future potential buyers will see that and hit the back button quickly, so what did that accomplish? A professional response would have helped the OP.
Seller could get a violation as well.

Perhaps your measurements were not correct? No offense, but it happens. If this is your first issue after thirteen years, you might want to reconsider wanting to sell elsewhere, but of course you have to do what you have to do.
Good Luck.

your lucky she did not file a NAD.
you would have found out no returns does not mean no refunds

I understand you have no returns but would it really have hurt to accept the return if the buyer paid return shipping? This buyer could have opened a false SNAD and you would have had to take the item back and pay for the return shipping if you wanted it back.
I agree a buyer shouldn't look for a return on a no returns listing, and they shouldn't open a false SNAD. I am just not sure why you reminded her that ebay has Buyer Protection Policy, as that seems to insinuate she should open a false SNAD.
I understand your frustration. Sorry this happened to you.

I’ll respectfully agree to disagree with your rude comments. Clearly you have no conception of a perfect feedback score being tarnished by someone unhappy because they didn’t read the listing carefully enough & didnt like the outcome. IMO eBay should be able to realize this as well. My reply was AFTER I’d reached out to her twice, and after eBay chose to ignore my request. Love how you’ve jumped right in though to point blame 👍🏼 I have not violated policy by replying to her feedback - you might want to read the rules on that 😉

No, it didn’t fit, I don’t accept returns, all measurements were in listing & she left negative feedback. I did everything correct in the listing but eVay’s policy seems to always side with the buyer 😕

There isn't anything in Ebay feedback policy that says that you can call a buyer BAD and warn other sellers TO BEWARE.
You hurt yourself more than that buyer. Buyer can call and have it removed and you would get a violation, and future potential buyers may not want to do business with someone whose response is what yours is.

LOLOL ~ I DO IT, I REPLY TO ALL NEGATIVES BECAUSE WHEN I READ OTHER PEOPLES FEEDBACK ESPECIALLY NEGATIVE AND THERE ISN'T A RESPONSE OR DEFENSE, I ASSUME ITS TRUE. BUYERS TRY TO SLAM SELLERS AND WILL SLANT THE ISSUE IN AN ATTEMPT TO GER REVENGE~ I WILL ALWAYS REPLY AND IF PEOPLE THINK I AM BEING A 'HOTHEAD' ..... FINE.
