I just received a positive feedback today with an obvious political comment - Lets Make America Great Again MAGA
I don't care about that person's political views. I just really dislike any type of political comments when it comes to MY business.
I checked what feedback this buyer left to other sellers and it is all the same political comment back up to 2016!
I am pretty sure it is against eBay's rules and I hope I can have it removed.
So annoying... just venting!

You do realize that it was Bill Clinton who coined that phrase! Others have used it also. Funny how no one objected to it then. That said pollical comments have no place in feedback!

I feel sure there are plenty that would have objected then too. I'm glad it is removable, and hopefully, it was removed from all the other sellers that were hit with it.

I hate any feedback that is about the poster including ads for websites. Feedback is supposed to be about the transaction. When it’s about themselves it shows how selfish and small minded the person is. Not a good trading partner.

Yes you are correct Bill Clinton did use it and he also used it when
he was stumping for Hillery. I don't think you can attribute it to any
one person because others have used it.

I agree. But the point is that this statement doesn't belong to a transaction feedback.

Hello everyone,
This thread is getting a bit heated. Please remember that it’s fine to disagree with others, but discussion should always remain on topic, courteous and respectful.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Lol I love how some make such off base and incorrect assumptions. We all have buyers on both sides, I don’t care if my customers are left or right. I just don’t like when any side leaves political feedback because I don’t want new customers to think I favor one side or the other and leaving political feedback can be harmful to my small business.

Would you care if it were a positive feedback that said:
"It's a lovely day here in Huntsville Alabama."?

One of my favorite feedbacks was something like:
"Aloha from Sunny Hawaii...."
I very rarely respond to feedback, but I think I responded to that one... not related to the transaction but it made me smile.
People take things way too seriously.... I'd be thrilled with the "Let's Make America Great Again MAGA" feedback instead of the positive that I just got which says.... "Horrible at Best". I was confused by that one since I hadn't heard from the customer.... and the item hadn't yet been delivered. Tracking proves I dropped it at USPS within 24 hours of payment. I chuckled because who leaves that as a positive feedback???? Bizarre. Turns out USPS had a delay and the item is going to arrive past the estimated delivery date. I think that may be karma.

I don't see anything posted here that would support that notion.

How about "God bless America"?
How about 'Support our troops"?
Slogans. Statements of opinion other than about the sale. Current events. Pet peeves. Personal issues.
Don't want to read them in feedback. Don't want to receive them.
Feedback is supposed to be about the transaction. No matter whether it's
etc etc
It doesn't belong in feedback.

That's very interesting. Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump...
Could it be that simple? That's the winning slogan.

Only an irrational buyer would be negatively influenced by an off-topic or nonsense feedback comment left for me by someone else - and I don't want irrational people buying from me anyway.
Plus, I haven't read the feedback left for me in years. No interest.
