I had listed.. "Vintage Federal Signal JETSONIC Local Pick Up READ DESCRIPTION".. This is an old lightbar with the colored inserts removed to comply with ebay policy. This was stated in the listing and reflected in the pics.
Listed as local pick up only from Utah, USA.
After several weeks the listing was removed for policy violation. I filed an appeal.
A week later, I get this message.. "We reviewed your appeal of an action on your account. Upon further review, we’re unable to grant your appeal because the listings aren’t following our Police-related items policy. Please understand that you listed a vehicle having emergency lights on it. Since such lights being closely resembling emergency vehicles, they cannot be listed on eBay.co.uk. You can relist the vehicle after removing the lights."
This was NOT A VEHICLE and with NO SHIPPING, it SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN VISIBLE TO UK BUYERS.
Nowadays with AI running everything, I expect to see more problems like this. Any info from REAL PEOPLE who REALLY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED would be welcome.
