Why are people using only AI generated descriptions for the items they are selling? They are a totally generic and many times inaccurate description of an item that doesn't give any details of the actual item for sale. Many times I have been interested in an item only to have to send messages to the seller to find out condition or other details of the item they are selling as the description provides nothing. I have decided to stop doing that and will no longer buy from people that only use AI generated descriptions.
You are losing money people! Please take the time to provide a detailed description of the actual item for sale!
Rant over 🙂

Haha, I'm having a great time reading all these replies. Suddenly I don't feel so alone. the AI-generated descriptions should be completely banned.

Nah, keep them. It makes it easier to identify the sellers who actually put in some effort.

Lots of good sellers do not use AI. Quit assuming that all people do it.

When I run into a seller that uses lazy and fluffy AI descriptions that say nothing real, I'm outta there in less than 2 seconds. And if you look at any of my listings, I leave no room for incompleteness (example: any of my Mikasa, Haviland, or Noritake dinnerware listings). Hence, no INAD complaints for the last 15 years.
