Please Check Your Variation Listings In Search

I was just doing a search for my ornaments, using the term  Recycled Can Ornaments.  My variation composite/stitched photos are not showing at all for any of my variation listings.  The images being returned are random single items from within the variation and not all items from the variation listings are shown as individuals.  

Is anyone else seeing this?  Do we know if this is an intentional change?

Well well well, whaddaya know. I'm being affected by this too. The good news is that it's not affected when viewing my listings within my store. Only when it's in the "items for sale" list and keyword search results. And I don't think it's really affecting my sales that much... unless I should be experiencing an increase and I'm not due to this gallery photo glitch issue.

@Anonymous  Please add me and these listings to the list of those affected. This is just a sample, I have about 250 more listings affected that I can provide upon request. It's pretty much all of my listings that are affected since I deal strictly with variations. Thanks.

Only when it's in the "items for sale" list and keyword search results. And I don't think it's really affecting my sales that much... unless I should be experiencing an increase and I'm not due to this gallery photo glitch issue.

IDK, but like I said, I've had this problem for at least a year, but it is likely longer than that.  It is however worse now than I've ever seen it.  Before it was only a few listings.  Now it seems to affect most of my variation listings.

Hi @bigdeals.etc, I can confirm that our tech teams have confirmed this is a widespread issue and are working on a fix right now. I'll add your information as an example in case they need it.

@mcdougle4248  I think you might be right. Long ago I refused to update my store because of the keyword search URLs didn’t match the new store’s format. Guess there’s other advantages too to leaving my store in the old format.

I noticed the search problem last Friday and checked my store on ebay.co.uk and found that the listings were correctly showing the main image. After seeing your post I checked again today, and the shop listings are showing random colour-related images. So … the problem's got worse over the course of the week. It's no wonder my sales have dropped.

Seems eBay has does not fix issues throughout the week and sellers just have to wait until the next weeks update the same thing happened with a even bigger issue a month and a half back when variation listings were causing inventory numbers to adjust on thier own took eBay the whole week to get the fix applied ... we wont see a fix for this or the checkout issues probably until this weeks rollout.. I feel like I am playing a video game waiting for a bug fix patch that is game breaking but its Real and effecting peoples profits and sales big time.

"no update to share at this time beyond confirmation that our tech teams are aware of the issue and are investigating currently".

This has not been my experience.  And FYI this issue was reported to Ebay a few days BEFORE last weeks update, which always happens on Thursday evenings.  It has been my experience over the years that fixes for glitches happen whenever the tech team is ready to apply them.

I have listings that are multiple variation listings where the search results does not show the main gallery picture but a random picture from the variations. This seems to have happened in the past week. The listings many months old and have never had or noticed this problem previously. eBays main suggestion is to relist the items which is not a option as it will take time and also loose status and sales records. I have noticed that there are some older entries with the same problem but no answers or fix solutions. Is there a fix to this issue or does anyone know if eBay is actually addressing it? We have lodged a issue via eBay chat but cannot get onto Tech department directly so frustrating that Tech department is not available to eBay sellers directly. You may want to check your listing if you a are a seller with multiple variation listings as I noticed many listings not showing the main gallery photo so it would seem to a eBay wide problem. See below photos of the different views and photos.

Yes, this a known issue to eBay.  Unfortunately, there has not been a date announced for a possible fix.  Sorry you are experiencing this, too.

Yes, I have the same problem. The Main photo is Not showing in varations listings.

I have also been having this issue for over a week with nearly 200 variation listings. The default picture does not show in a search. The first picture shows instead and my repeat customers have messaged me to say that it is confusing. We are now in week 2. And they are forcing us into Managed Payments? What could go wrong there?

Are you sure?  I ask because most of us are just having the gallery pic not showing up as the main pic we have set for the listing.  But if we go into the listing the main photo does show.

Let me go look at some of yours.  Maybe you just mispoke.  I do see that your problem appears to be the same as the rest of us.  If you are seeing something different, please come back and tell us.
