You can always open another selling account on another ID. Are you having problems with this current account? I'm not seeing any listings or sales.

Hi, I'm so new to this. I haven't started listing yet. I have items to list but do I need to create a listing first before I can have access to change it to a business account?

Do you have a payment method set up? That's important or you won't get paid for any sales you have until you do. Count on eBay holding your money from that sale too. New sellers are subject to holds to back the MBG and in the event you have a return or INR the funds are there to refund the buyer. Take some time to read up on policies and rules, also important. Also don't drop ship...not a good business plan. Just some advice that I hope is helpful to you.
Happy selling once you're set up!

Go to your account settings>personal info, personal information https://accountsettings.ebay.com/profile Next to account type click "edit" and you can change from individual to business.
Please be aware that this is irreversible - once you change from an individual to a business account, you cannot change back to an individual account.
You MUST use a business checking account to receive payment, and the information on that checking account must exactly match the information in the Ebay account.
Having a business account will NOT raise or lift any listing limits. Most people will not need a business account, a personal account is just fine.

1. I see that you have registered as residing in the US. Are you located in the US and do you have a SSN and a US checking account?
2. If you are outside of the US, then you must register on the eBay site for your country. If there is no site for your country, then register on the US site and provide your foreign address and a matching checking account, or a Payoneer account if in a country that does not support Adyen for processing payments.
3. Your bank account (or Payoneer account) and your eBay account must be the same type and carry the same name.
4. If you have a registered business entity with a federal tax ID, or if you normally file a business tax return, you can change your selling account from personal to business. Remember that the checking account must be titled the same.
5. If your business activity is a side activity that is normally reported on Schedule C of a personal income tax return, your eBay account can remain as a personal account and your checking account would be in your personal name (and may include co-owners on the checking account).
6. To begin seller registration, you must first start a new listing. When you click the button to list the item, the listing will be saved as a draft and you will be redirected to the onboarding page where you will choose your seller type and enter your seller registration information.
7. The onboarding process is two parts.
a. The first part will request your identity information (legal name, physical address, birthdate, tax id).
b. The second stage will request your banking details and verify ownership of the checking account.

As others have stated, once you go business, you never go back.
Although, I have yet to have any problems that would necessitate a need to do away with a business account.
