They're probably looking at it on their phone and don't know to scroll down.

We put a message in the box for condition description that notes the condition and then says PLEASE SEE DESCRIPTION BELOW.

That works. Most of the time. Good Luck!

They are probably looking at their phones! However, for the younger crew the phone is the reason people don't read. While keeping up with fb, instagram, twitter, tik tok, etc... they have no time to read. Personally, I read every discription word for word, but I come from a different time period where reading carefully was the way to get useful information. The younger generation has to have the attention captured in 10 seconds or they move on. Unfortunately, many situations could be avoided if people read the descriptions. For example, if I want to buy something that is in perfect condition, then if an item has a description that says faded, stained, small holes, and buttons missing, then I can skip that auction and go search another listing.

You're right. I had a buyer try to extort me out of a partial refund once -- wanted a discount or would post negative feedback if I didn't give it to her, all because she didn't read the description.  Fortunately, it was all in writing, so ebay protected me.  Now I put a note in "Condition Description" field - "Please see full description and photos"

If they are using the app, sometimes you can't even find the description.

Have a great day.

Most people don't even look at all of the photos.

Totally agree.  Had a buyer open a NSAD against me.  Why?  Because I deceived him as he thought, by the picture, it was bigger than it was.  This even though the length of item was clearly stated in offering.  Oh, he also thought he paid too much, which was a hit at me to give him the item for less.  Otherwise the item is fine.  I have a decision to make, lose the shipping costs both ways, or give him the item for less.

Ebay has certainly taught buyers how to scam us seller.

What the heck is the picture of your American Flyer train car ? You expect people to read your description and show a picture of a blob ? I could not find any 2" action figures active or sold ?

"Please tell me how tall this 2" figure is.  Be precise."  😒

No, people have become too lazy to read or to even think anymore.  So it is important to include one photo with either a ruler or some well know object next to the widget you are selling to indicate size.

happens all the time.   I just politely answer their question and thank them for their interest.   Easier that way.

I had a .99 cent comic book for sale once...stated condition VF

If you have bought more than one comic book in your life you know what VF or Very Fine means. It's higher grade but not mint.

Guy starts asking questions are the there tears? are there stains are there this and that...none of which can exist in a VF book.

I respond the book is VF, none of that can be there.

"buyer" gets huffy and asks me to get very specific about the book...

Ok sure buddy. It as the bottom of a pit covered in paint and currently on fire. You have to fight a Black Bear named Carl to get near it. I will only accept Deutsche Marks and a sexy dance as payment. It smells like red Pez but tastes like yellow Pez.

That specific enough?

I guess you don't want to sell your book jerk.

...I don't need to now since I got $5 worth of entertainment out of you, now go away.
