...Not sure if I want to participate in reading the responses in this thread too much but I just want you guys to know, for those of you who appreciate my efforts as an old wizard I have decided to take this opportunity of not needing to generate immediate income from eBay, and turn it into a bit of a "gambling situation."
I would prepare the following things before potentially following suit;
1. Enough unique descriptions on your listings in order to make it so that customers can make browsing your store into some kind of hobby. This might be the most difficult part for people who are not used to working with AI tools outside of eBay.
2. Enough items that are legitimately worth around 1,000 to 50,000 dollars. Maybe around 50 to 100 of these items, depending on likelihood of sales within a half-year period. These items will be what brings you out of the negatives.
3. Forget about selling items under 100 dollars. These can just be used to contribute to your museum. You won't be seeing the money anyways. Push this concept as far as you can. In other words, make it so that these items are unlikely to sell so that you can maintain your museum, but do not make yourself look like an idiot by overpricing the wrong items. Adding a handling charge to these listings might be a nice way of doing this, and making a statement about the handling charge is also a good idea.
4. Really think about the concept of accepting free returns, along with any other factor that might slightly increase the likelihood of a sale. Together, these effects will multiply their effectiveness with each other. While taking good photos might not do much on its own, only god knows how applying ten different concepts that have to do with store quality might multiply with each other in order to propel you into the stratosphere.
5. What is gambling? Really think about this word. Gambling as we know it is not just trying to make money that is based on chance like a die roll. It's more barbaric than that.
6. What makes you unique as a person? You never know who is watching you. You might live out your entire life alone, but as long as you are unique, this loneliness can only help you find the right people. Try your best to integrate your personality into your store without breaking the rules.
- What happens if I fail?
Well, move back to your parents house or live out of your car and move to Texas. You'll learn a great deal about society, its people and its laws, and you'll be proud of yourself for doing something different.. than the people.. The salvation army gives out free bed and food for ..people who are willing to cooperate with them long-term, which means you are unlikely to end up in a ditch as long as you have a good attitude. I would try to take some advice from Robert Frost.
- What do these numbers mean?
It means nothing. It is just an illusion. A false implication. You must work with concepts to see clearly.
- I am off of the grid yet you are accusing me of being on it, what gives?
The road is dark. There is nothing out there. Everything is fenced in. However we must usher nature into existence for the good of mankind. The only way to do this is to provide them with information.. among other things. Even if it is true that birds are able to see through walls as a result of their militaristic way of life, it is clear that they prefer to see things first hand.. and it is even clearer that they would gain more from direct insight.
Tell me, when was the last time you've seen them feed on nature, and not from the hands of humanoids?
Society believes that it is appropriate for humanoids to feed creatures that have wings. Leveraging food against agents of god. An invisible prison.. grotesque domination. Surely such a sleight against god will not go unpunished. Would you really want to be a part of this catastrophe?
- Are you employed by eBay?
I am not employed by eBay by any legal or technical capacity.
I do not believe that gold is merely a thing that produces the same shine as water does.. however the acquisition of gold will not grant you freedom.. no form of money could possibly provide you with a gift from god, your own spirit.. your ability to see the truth.
If you are convinced that you have a choice.. then which road will you take?

Regardless of which AI tools he or she is using the end result is ridiculous. If you read more than a few of the descriptions in the OP listings you can see how they are all making the same vague statements with zero specifics. Just the listing title plugged in to a kind of Mad Libs description.

There are pro's and con's to offering free returns depending on what you are selling, how you cover the cost of those returns and if you get back that same item you sent. Not accepting returns is, in most cases, a formula for disaster. You can state no returns but it does not translate into no refunds.
This statement from a recent listing suggests that the OP probably gets more than the usual number of returns:
'We will never respond to special requests on shipment and packaging, or questions about item measurements or weight.'
I notice that the OP tends to stop responding once a thread stops going his or her way. The writing suggests some possible mental issues.

I think they're just stoned. Eh - it happens.

Sorry, it was a joke. Must stop joking on boards....(you mentioned Rock Band name, and all I could see was a paperclip on a nose.)
I was picturing a paperclip on/in a nose, meaning something smells in here (the AI). Does that make any sense? When I went searching for a nose with paperclip picture, I did come up with one, but it wasn't something I would post.
Very much appreciate you NOT posting that picture.

Not that there is anything wrong with that these days all part of the medisinal process. I wonder if they ever opened that box? 😂 EBay's gotta be LOVING the promoted listing revenue from this individual.

Hey, Rod Serling would be proud of the OP's efforts here
How dull would this board be if all posts were serious, rational & based in reality?
