Packing label on the outside

Hi there,

I received a parcel today - that had been delivered via Evri - and discovered that the seller had taped the packing slip on the outside. It had my phone number, the item I’d bought and it’s cost (£120 in case you’re wondering), all available for anyone to look at.

The actual shipping label was attached as well, on another face of the box.

I’ve been on eBay nearly 15 years and I’ve never experienced that before. The seller meanwhile, has been on eBay for around 10 years, so it’s not a lack of experience thing.

I'm annoyed by this, as I used to work at a logistics company where stuff got nicked all the time, and I’m thinking of contacting the seller to let them know how I feel.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it worth messaging them?

Cheers.

Mine comes in a plastic envelope with all details mention from my suppliers taped to the shipping box. Nothing new here.

Depends upon your local taxing authorities rules. Requirements do change all the time as they get desperate for accurate data on a shipment. Most carriers require contact information for shipper & recipient so nothing outrageous on the form.

There is also the "we need to know if its safe" regulations as well...

This is the US ebay site, and shipping experiences and outcomes are different here. You might try the UK forums for closer insight> https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Help-from-the-Community/ct-p/11900000007
