PROMOTED LISTING FEES

I don't understand how I got charged promotion fees on 2 items that were literally the only ones listed on eBay. 1 was a rare rim for a Land Rover and today was a center cap. There have been none sold and there aren't any current listings for either. I had 2 Land Rover wheels... The customer bought 1 and several months later called me to see if I had another and I gave him the Ebay Item number. Then got hit with promotion fees. I'm going to end my promotions and run a sale to pass the discount to the buyers. Ebay gets enough with other fees.

PROMOTED LISTING FEES

Did you enable Promoted Listings?  If so, you're likely to pay the associated fee, regardless of how unique something is.  The only thing that affects that is whether your customer got to your listing (or even one of your other listings within the past 30 days) via a Sponsored Listing spot in the search results.  If you don't want to pay ad fees on a particular listing because you don't think it's going to need to be promoted, then don't promote that listing.

PROMOTED LISTING FEES

'end my promotions and run a sale'...I am not adding any new promotions and really didn't want to but decided to do free international shipping.

I figure without the shipping added to the item and not being promoted it kinda evens out where the eBay fee  won't be as high for me.

Sometimes we have to think outside the box.

Here's a strange situation...a lot of my buyers were international buyers and I was charging shipping.

I had basically 'repeat buyers' and new international buyers.

Now I am slowing giving free shipping for international buyers on some items...no more international buyers for quite some time now...go figure that out.
