So what's the difference?
I have one buyer here with a PMB as one number and a PO Box as another number. Both together in the same shipping address. No street name... just the city (zipcode) and state

A Private Mail Box can receive all types of shipments.
A Post Office Box can only receive shipments through the United States Postal Service.

Ooooh is that why some places say (No PO boxes) when you sign up for things? Because they intend to use UPS or Fedex?
So this particular buyer with both PMB and PO Box in their shipping address actually has two physical locations indicated? This won't confuse mail carriers will it?

No major difference between them. Sometimes Post Offices don't have enough boxes for all the people in their town or district, so if someone wants a box they have to get one from a private company. They work pretty much the same way, except the Post Office delivers all the mail for the PMBs to the establishment that is providing them, and the staff there has to put the mail into the boxes. They hold packages behind their counter or provide lockers for the packages and put the key in the PMB.

So if you're shipping via USPS, you use the PO Box, and if you're shipping via some other carrier, you use the PMB, or... what? Is this perhaps some Podunk-y little town where one business serves as both the post office and the general store where UPS drops off?

It might be. It's in PR... and I already know how crazy thier addresses can get. I actually already shipped it out before seeing your reply. I just included both addresses in there exactly like how the buyer did it in Paypal just in case for seller protection
