I can't for the life of me understand why so many seller's fail to add measurements to their descriptions. It isn't hard to state them or to show a yardstick or tape measure beside items. Yes, the size of the pillow, antique candlesticks, or wooden box that you're selling matters. Also, some who do give measurements don't give them in a helpful way. It's helpful to know for example that your round side table has a top that is 18" in DIAMETER, the distance across. It isn't helpful to read that the table top measures 56" AROUND the top. How would a buyer even use that information? I do appreciate the fact that buyers can contact sellers for the information but we shouldn't have to do this. Why not just give the information up front? Thanks.

I post measurements in many of my listings and some people still ask for them. I also had one buyer tell me that I should include a ruler or tape in the photo to show size, even though it is clearly stated.
As to why people don't include a measurement of some sort; they may be inexperienced sellers or just lazy. That is my opinion and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of any other person ever.

I completely agree!

I say lazy and then they wonder why they are either getting hit with constant questions and no sales.
I will move on most listings that have no size, measurements, or state wear or stains but only say 'see photos'.

I agree.
Recently I wanted to buy some bowls, and had to message sellers to find out what size they were.
That's a pretty fundamental thing that needs to be in the listing.

BUT on the flip side of that. I always include dimensions in my listings and yet I still get emails asking me what size it is. In other words even though the information is there the "buyers" don't bother to read the description. Or I will get feedback that says "It's smaller than I thought" even though the dimensions are clearly stated.
Double edged sword.

I don't include any of that stuff.
Time is money. If things sell without I don't see the reason to spend the extra time.
I let my low prices do my selling.

If/when a measurement is not shown, I don't waste my time asking.

I guess i'm the "typical male".
When I buy clothing I NEVER EVER concern myself with measurements.
I just go by the size of the garment.

@inhawaii Tell us you're a man without telling us you're a man 😂 Women don't have this luxury. Depending on the brand, a size 4, 10 & 16 may all have the same measurements 🤔 Plus there's shrinkage from washing, etc. It's so frustrating! Most women have 3-8 different sizes in their closets at all times.
On another note, you finally did it! Your tag line finally has both a song & artist I don't recognize! There hasn't been one in all these years! That was an interesting arrangement. I looked him up & I see that Fil at Wings of Pegasus has done a show about Nik, I'll have to add to my Watch Later list.
