PHOTOS

I am getting a message that I have to buy more space for my photos? I don't want to be charged for using space for my images, how can I avoid this message? I cannot put any more items on Ebay as my images will not appear on my listings, after 22 years on this site why now this?   bubba

Re: PHOTOS

Do you mean more photos than the 24 they allow now?

Re: PHOTOS

Is that message in your ebay messages?     Or did it come thru email?

Re: PHOTOS

I'll echo the question posted above @bubbapeaandme8178 ; did you check your eBay messages or is this perhaps a phony message you got in your email from a phishing/scam attempt?

eBay allows sellers 24 photos per listing - this was increased from 12 last year.

The only category that's different is Motors when you're selling vehicles and the type of package you purchase dictates the number of photos you can add. Motors Fee Structure

Re: PHOTOS

Dropbox isn’t associated with eBay.
You probably exceeded the allowed amount for storage in the Dropbox free account.

Re: PHOTOS

I'm guessing you use dropbox to host images?  As said not an ebay increase.

Ebay will hold up to 24 images per listing (with the exception noted)...........on ebay at no cost.

The message came in my email, they wanted my credit info and my card numbers so I deleted it.  bubba

Re: PHOTOS

I think Photobucket ended their free service years ago.

Why don't you just upload the photos directly to the eBay listings instead of hosting them externally? You're only using one photo per listing - it's not like there's any need to host them externally.

Re: PHOTOS

I use my 15 year old Canon camera...takes photos and download them on my computer and then use them on eBay.

And you can take photos with an iPhone as well.

I remember when I had a service such as photo bucket. I stopped using it due to the cost. They sent a bill every month for a few years which I never paid. LOL. They finally stopped emailing me a bill to pay every month.

Re: PHOTOS

I haven't used a photo hosting service in many years.    Put them on my computer,   attach them

to the listing.

Easy - peasy and free to boot.

I used Auctionwatch and they became vendio and all that added 3-4-5 steps to put together

a listing.   And cost me money for storage plus a small %  when a sale happened.

Don't miss that monthly bill at all.

Re: PHOTOS

Hey @bubbapeaandme8178 . When you asked a couple months ago about deleting images from Dropbox, were you able to follow the instructions provided?

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/DROPBOX/td-p/33941125

But as I suggested upthread, it's easier if you upload your photos directly to the eBay listing. When you open the listing form, either drag and drop your photos or click on the image cell to upload photos. Highlighted in green on this screenshot.

Do not upload from web as you have been. Highlighted in red on this screenshot.
