So about 3 hours ago (Jan 17), I got an email and an eBay message that my PayPal payment to Outright had been declined. The message was from billing at ebay and said that my Godaddy/Outright account was suspended because of it.
It's January, for cripes sakes ... I need my year-end stuff 😞
i looked at my 3rd party subscriptions. The invoice shows a payment on the 15th and a reversal on the 16th.
The email said to call PayPal.
PayPal has absolutely no record of a payment request .. the payment on the 15th or the reversal on the 16th, There's no $69 transaction there ... declined or not 😞
They transferred me to eBay.....lalalalalala hold lalalalalala hold lalalalalala hold ... 20 minutes 😞
Go through everything with the first rep ... 10 minutes ... she needs to transfer me to billing ... lalalalala hold 8 more minutes ... Go back through everything with the second rep ... she can't help. Although the billing is done through eBay and eBay sent the email, eBay has nothing to do with the payment.
Call GoDaddy ... yay! an American english speaking person! Who is very nice and very helpful and who says I don't have a GoDaddy Account 😞 We go back and forth and finally find that I do have an account, but that GoDaddy does not handle the billing for eBay app accounts, he can't even see anything about me, not even my name, nevermind the billing agreement ... I need to call eBay 😞
Grrrrrrrrrrr.
I'm in no mood to call eBay back 😞
Are there any Outright users around here that might be able to point me in the right direction, or tell me who to talk to in eBay about this?

Why not? It's an eBay seller app for bookkeeping, subscribed through eBay.
I'm asking for advice from other eBay users of this app ...

I'm not sure why they think this is a problem either!

Or did you email them? support@outright.com
I ask because early last year I had a similar problem with a different app. Ebay nor PP were of any help like it has been for you. I ended up going direct to the source to fix the issue.
BTW, did you check your site preferences just to make sure that your auto payment for this service app has not been toyed with?

Yes, I called Outright ... they were my last call of the day ... they told me to call eBay .. and we're very nice and apologetic that they couldn't help me 😞
My settings were good and my PayPal balance is healthy.
I'm just trying to figure out who's PayPal they tried to bill ... it sure as heck wasn't the Store's account .. the PayPal rep even checked my personal account to see if they had gotten crossed wires somewhere. There is no indication at all that that charge was made and declined or reversed anywhere in PayPal.
The only place is shows is on the eBay Invoice page for Outright. Payment made and payment reversed about 12 hours later.
And the email from eBay billing that says it was declined.
I'm going to try to call eBay back in the morning ... I just don't know exactly what department I should be talking to.

Now this may sound a little strange, but in an effort to get you cleared to see your records ASAP, why not try to make a one time payment for a couple months worth of fees. Then you would have access to your account again and you would have time to try and figure out what went wrong. Maybe change what you have set up on Ebay to a CC instead of PP. Just so you can get payment to Outright ASAP.

I get it that you have your setting correct. You did explain that earlier. But there should be an option on the screen where you set up the auto payment to make a one time payment even if it is using the PP account.
At least this has been my experience. When I had a similar problem with a payment for an app not going through correctly, and after chasing everyone to try and get it fixed, I submitted a one time only payment just to keep things active. It worked for me while I continued to work on resolving the original problem.

OK ... I was able to make a one-time payment ... and I can see my stuff 🙂
But I really need to get to the bottom of this. What PayPal account did they bill that got declined? Somebody's account got charged and reversed 😞
What I'm afraid of is that some other poor seller is trying to figure out what the heck that charge was about 😞
