Hi,
Buyer asked to cancel the order after he ordered after 60 minuets. He cannot cancel it because more than 1 hour passed. If I cancel from my end, fix charge of $0.30 will not be credited. I think this not fair.
Is there a solution?
Just asking.
Thanks

30 cents is a lot less than return postage.
It's a trivial amount in the scheme of things

If you cannot absorb the occasional 30 cent fee, the solution is to raise all your prices by 30 cents.

Hi, have the same issue. I do low total sales and the items are $$ range. But its cheaper to eat the thirty cents then have them say its not what they wanted and have to pay return shipping.

Maybe it's because you are in Sri Lanka and are drop shipping items from China that are very overpriced. Maybe they don't want to take the chance of the item not being as described, or broken or not received?? I think 30 cents is a justifiable minor loss compared to what you could have been charged with paying for return shipping and then refunding all their money. Happy Selling.

All I will say is when a buyer asks me to cancel, I cancel right away. One less sale to worry about. 30 cents is not worth my peace of mind. There is a cost of doing business on eBay. Every year you will likely lose a up to couple hundred of dollars over all sorts of issues. It is just the way it is.

It may be just the way it is but that does not change the fact it is not right. Buyers should be the ones getting charged for cancellations like this.

I would cancel the order and absorb the fee. This customer possibly could get back at you by claiming damaged upon receiving the item, or some other **bleep** excuse and give you a negative feedback review.

There's no way for eBay to charge a buyer.

i was amazed at how overpriced his junk is,$5 items for $30,crazy
At least they're trying to make a $ which is to be commended

the .30 is processing fee and it's nonrefundable as the payment had been made and now has to be refunded by the processing company. They're not going to do that for free.

If you are asking whether there is a way to get eBay Managed Payments to process two transactions for free (the original payment AND a refund) then the answer is no.

It's a lot less than the initial postage, too 🙂

You don't have to cancel the order.
Go ahead and ship it.
Buyer will file an INAD and you'll have to pay to have it shipped back to China, give a full refund and you'll still loose the $0.30.

At least they plan on making a little money.
It's better then the ones selling for $0.99 and free shipping.
