Regardless of were or how you buy something without a receipt or a bill of sale all

you have is your word to prove anything.

If you are talking about the (Apple AirPods Pro Brand New in Factory Sealed Box

4th Gen Latest Version) that you just sold and you bought them for cash from

offer up without getting a receipt or a bill of sale and now eBay wants proof of

were you bought them then plain and simply you can't provide them something

you don't have.

Yes I am referring to those and So I’m assuming majority of successful sellers on the eBay plat form have receipts for their item? Sorry I’m new to selling online I seen a lot of videos that said buy stuff low on Craigslist, Facebook market place and offer up and list them on eBay so I decided to try it

You have no proof that the items are real and not fake: For that mater no proof of purchase is also your problem.

I suspect you will not be selling on eBay much longer.

Cheap cost of course is a flag they were fake to begin with....

The people who make those videos are most likely the people who are selling fakes on those places.

me thinks you best learn from eBay seller school and /or eBay academy HOW TO BE A SELLER rather than watching some made for profit video ...You have very much to learn and it won't come from those videos...You really need to read ALOT and start here: https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/get-started/selling-basics.html

It is only in certain categories and certain high scam, high theft, high problem items that they will ever ask for receipts on. I did over 60,000 last year and when I ran the account for the hobby shop we had been doing well over 100K per year for at least a decade and they never asked for that. I have only ever heard about requests for receipts/invoices for shoes, Apple products and a few other name brand things.

You should carry around a receipt book with you anyway, whenever I buy something from someone for cash I always write a receipt in my book and ask them to sign it, if they are hesitant I even say "I don't even care if it is legible", and if they still won't then I just use the receipt I wrote anyway (only happened a few times).

Actually, for those with no retail business background, some of those vloggers on YouTube offer some insightful advice and complement the various Ebay "schools". The only pratfall is that some of those sellers have different business models than other sellers. But then the seller school also tends to target some sort of imagined common business model.
