Listed two NGC graded coins and both were taken down as fakes by ebay. I bought both coins from Pinehurst Coins on ebay.  Pinehurst does not sale fake NGC graded coins nor do I.

Trying to get an explanation is impossible with the complete lack of customer service and I have had enough ebay to do me the rest of my life.

Ebay has been like the girl who you get away from and miss and wonder why you left just to return and have all the reasons shoved right in your face.

Everyone makes mistakes but the complete lack of explanation or an apology is insane. Such a tiny thing to make up for their mistake would fix everything...but asking too much of the billionaires I guess.

Go to Hell ebay. Closing my account when, and if, you ever pay me what you owe.

Ebay would have told you in the email they sent you as to what you needed to do.  Which likely was provide them with documentation as to where you bought the items from.  And a link so your could submit the info.

I understand it is upsetting, I'd be upset too, but just supply them with the info and move forward.

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.  Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is.  Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message.  It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://twitter.com/askebay

https://www.facebook.com/eBay/

Your options will be on the left.  If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.  Not all options are available 24/7.  It will depend on staffing available.  So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't.  Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me.  If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.

If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

@rmt0-83 ,

Congress is cracking down on counterfeit and stolen goods being sold online  via selling platforms like eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Offerup, Bonanza, and etc. We are going to see more and more of this.

Congress has passed the Inform Consumer Act and about to pass the COOL Act.  Both require the platforms like eBay police the sellers.

There are other problems selling graded and encapsulated coins, stamps, and sportscards on eBay.  The dishonest buyers will claim the package they received was empty.  Or they will crumple the outside of the package and say the contents were missing.  Or if eBay gives the buyer a receive by date, the crooks will wait and hope the package has not arrived by then and place an item not received complaint on it.  eBay refunds the buyer's money at 12:01 am. the next day.  Then when the package arrives that same day or a day later, eBay will say that they have already refunded the buyer's money and the seller needs to request from the buyer to give the seller back the money.  Guess how many buyers ever sent me the money back... zero.  If you have been reading these community boards, very valuable collectibles are regularly stolen from sellers.  I quit selling on eBay years ago, and rarely do very selective buying.

I’ve been with eBay for 21 years, I’m now deleting my account as their selling fees have made it to unreasonable, there are plenty of other selling platforms now around that are more reasonable and less hassle! EBay never stands by you when you need them, hard to have a conversation with.

even when the evidence is obvious, they stand by the buyer who they don’t make money from. I know people are addicted to using them, but just try the other platforms for selling. RIP off, one sided, and un contactable.

You need to take your message outside of this message board. No good changes will be made to eBay until their stock is in the toilet and the people at the top are eradicated. All of the stories like yours need to be told to a much larger audience. Until "eBay sucks" for all of the reasons that eBay actually does suck becomes the common belief of the world's population, nothing beneficial to sellers will ever change here.

Old thread.  OP is likely gone now.

I would have to agree.  eBay bots have been doing the same to me. Under my other ID I have been here for over 23 years with 100% FB all that time. NGC-certified coins are a no-brainer and should not be questioned. Anyone can go to their website and type in the cert # and grade to verify if the coin cert is legit. Total **bleep** on eBay's part. This is really getting out of hand. I don't blame you for packing it up. I wish you good luck.

Yes @lawnmowerpartsstore2 , your point is what?  All sellers that leave the site with 100% positive FB leave the site for the same reason or reasons??  Highly unlikely.

This particular OP stated selling until earlier this month.  More than a month after making this thread.

Staying or leaving is a personal decision by the account holder.  Some leave for personal reasons, others leave because they have misunderstandings about the rules around here, others because they have lost too much money in claims, others because they simply don't like the fees, others because they can't figure out how to make money, other because of health reasons and any number of other reasons.  Each is legit for the seller and they are absolutely within their right to close up shop and move on.

There is no blanket statement that covers all the reasons sellers that leave have for closing down.

I notice most of your post are very critical of ebay, yet you are still selling here.

Just curious, how come?
