Did you mean:

Not Recognized Chargeback Auto Seller Protection.

I've seen some threads that you have to do certain things, Accept or Dispute.

Were people aware that these chargebacks don't ask for ANYTHING. If you did what you are supposed to you just get a message from eBay that you are covered and there is nothing to do.

Sorry I caused you any upset, but my post showed exactly what you posted.  I didn't change anything or misrepresent anything.  It is all any of us can do to go by what you actually post.  I know from personal experience that sometimes I have meant to say something different than my actual typed out words said.

Here is your statement that I responded to:  "Yes the only real way to get seller protection for an INAD chargeback is if seller won a return case for same reason on eBay."  I didn't misrepresent what you said, I quoted you.  I may have been mistaken in how I interpreted your statement, but I didn't change anything.  Everyone was free to read exactly what you said on the post I made.

Again, Sorry.

I'm not upset.

It's just what you do, you love to correct people when you think you are right even though you are not understanding what was said.

Seller protection isn't the same thing as winning a chargeback.

All your information on winning a chargeback is irrelevant in regards to talking about eBay's seller protections.

I provided eBay's specific seller protections for INAD chargebacks and even they say they only provide seller protection if you already refunded, which would result in a duplicate refund, or you won a INAD return case.

Outside of that there is no seller protection, and it's up to the seller to fight their battle.

What I said was correct, and you refuse to accept it. Like basically every counter argument against you.

Here is another screen from inside the case. Ebay gives you no option to respond at all.

Hey @robbie31415 . Thanks for posting that screenshot! On the "other thread" I had a screenshot to share from a year ago where I did not need to do anything, but I still had the ability to enter tracking if I wanted to.

@gurlcat asked me last month if that's still possible - to enter tracking on "doesn't recognize" disputes even though it's not required when a seller meets the protection criteria.

I told her I had not looked at any "doesn't recognize" dispute details in the past year since I wasn't required to respond and I didn't waste the time. I haven't had any "doesn't recognize" disputes in the past month to check for sure and grab that screenshot everybody was clamoring for a month ago.

But there you go, your screenshot is definitive proof of what many sellers on this forum have mentioned seeing - we don't have the ability to enter tracking or respond in any way on "doesn't recognize" disputes when we're covered by seller protections. I think it's great that we don't need to worry about it when we meet the seller protection criteria - just take note and BBL the ID if we want, then move on to other selling tasks.

Yes, your response is one of the reasons why I created this thread.

I don't get these types of chargebacks often, so it's hard to monitor how eBay changes the process a bit.

Since I got one I thought I'd show some information to clear things up.

"I'm sorry if you're upset" is classic textbook stuff.  And if you know one of then in-person, it comes with textbook vocal intonation and facial expression too.    -If it MAKES you upset, they win,   If you've heard it enough times that it starts to make you laugh, then they get to be upset, and that's an even bigger win for them.  Your only true path is 'away', whatever it takes to find it.

Lol, tbh I don't really care.

I was expecting this, because this isn't the first time we've had back and forths in this manner.

I appreciate Mam. They provide a lot of information to a lot of newer sellers, get them on a good path to correcting their errors.

BUT Mam loves to double down on bad positions instead of accepting something they might not have known even when there is concrete evidence that proves they are wrong.
