Not Getting My 1,000 Basic Store Listings

I have noticed over the last few months I am not getting 1,000 listings. I don't list 1,000 items a month. Since I was charged I think it was $14.00 a few months ago I've keep a check on what it says on my store page. I do end a sell similar and list about 5 new items a day. I checked what eBay says I listed and it jumps through out the day even if I haven't listed anything or did sell similar. This morning it went from 48 to 0! I admit I haven't kept a detailed account but I will now. My store is really going to go downhill because I'm not paying for any listings. Is this happening to anyone else? I know end and sell similar will count for your 1,000 but I haven't done that and only listed about 10 items in the last 4 days. Thanks!

This is crazy! Now I'm really worried. I have a lot to learn and I've been selling for 2 years!  Thank you!

I'm averaging about $100. a week in take home pay. I don't think it would make that much of a difference. I'm paying $22 and the next store is what $55? I just won't list anything else.

You should also have an additional 10k listings in certain categories available at no cost.  Look under promotional offers on your hub to see your numbers.  I have over 1000 listings and have never needed to pay any listing fees, since many are in those additional categories.   Collectibles is one of the categories.

Thank you! So if I list in Collectibles I shouldn't have to pay a listing fee? I'll check that now.

BIN = Buy It Now

This term is used in two ways: (1) An option that can be added to auction-format listings, or (2) fixed price listings. In this context, it's option (2).

As noted above, your fixed price listings roll over every month (on the same date that they were originally listed) and that uses up one of your free insertions if one is available.  If you end the listing before its rollover date and then use "Sell similar" to relist it, then you're using up one of your free insertions for a new listing rather than for a rollover.

Re: Not Getting My 1,000 Basic Store Listings

My eBay->Selling->Seller Hub->Overview->Promotional Offers.

Promotions should not be counted on. They may come and go.

I thought that eBay used 'promotional listings" before switching back to 'subscription listings' but I notice on looking today that eBay has counted 761 of my 10,000 promotional listings plus 19 of my Basic Store listings .

Since both are free, I'm not going to fuss, but it is interesting.

And remember everything that eBay does, is good for eBay.

Yes I agree, eBay has to make those billions!   Everyone has helped me save a bunch of money answering my questions. Thank you.
