I just started selling last month, I have already expirenced 3 non payments.
I had one ask me to text him due to being overseas, like a fool I did. Long story short, I was asked to buy ebay gift cards. That's when I call CS. I was told to open a case, and I did. A few days later I went to check on it, and using my phone only, I accidentally checked payment received while I was trying to enlarge the page. It closed out my case. I called immediately to tell them what happened. I was basically told there's nothing they can do. Can't re-open a case. BTW this isn't the one where I was asked to text him.
I thought I was going to be credited the value, insertion fee ( if I had one) and final cost fee. I can't see where any of that happened. I have $60.00 now in fees, I was selling quite a bit so I opened a store, now I regret all of this. I feel like I need a dang mentor to guide me thru this. Does it get better ? I feel like I'm paying eBay to sell here.

Anything related to gift cards is pretty much a scam, never fall into this trap. Second never communicate outside of eBay. Not sure what you opened a case for? Also not sure how you manage to run your account through your phone my eyes have NEVER been that good. 🙂 Some of this is growing pains with being a new seller. Unfortunately you are probably a prime target for scammers at the moment as they tend to pick on new in-experienced sellers. I would suggest reading this forum as often as possible to get an idea where the pitfalls are with being a seller. Learn the good, the bad and the ugly of being a seller on eBay. Start small with your listings both in quantity and price until you gain some experience and feel more comfortable. Never list anything on eBay that you cannot afford to take a loss on.
Sorry about the error hitting the wrong button maybe you have an honest buyer and you can work with them to get paid for the item for real.

I don't know how anyone can do anything here on their phone.
If you clicked payment received, there isn't much you can do now.
