Hi there,
So I just created an account on ebay, and after few hours i just got an email with the subject
"Reactivate your eBay account" because apparently it has been put on hold for an unknown reason.
The email says the following
"Please get in touch as soon as you can by going to the Help page below and selecting Contact us. We’ll just need to ask you a few questions to verify your account so you can get back up and running again. If we don’t hear from you within 7 days, your account may be at risk of being suspended."
but there is no one I can contact in that generic piece of sh** that is the "contact us" section
What can I do?
No reason for suspension
No way to communicate for them
I can only think that it can be that I need to confirm the microdeposits in the bank...but still they haven't been processed...anyway looks like a bit extreme to suspend an account while you are within a normal timeframe to confirm the deposits...
Any help?

Have you received the micro deposits ? If yes, verify them as soon as possible
If not, there may be an issue with your bank details so you need to check those.
No idea why Contact Us is not working, unless you are trying outside of business hours............

Just realised you are in AU, go to the chat boards there as our MP procedure is very different than here in the US.

HI! When someone opens an account E likes to asks you some questions about what you are planning to sell. What type of items, price range, etc.. each of my accounts they have done that with. 💙💛

So I have verified the microdeposits.
And I went to list my first product.
The suspension was still on, so I went to chat with customer service.
Basically, I have wasted 2 hours of my life to get ABSOLUTELY NO HELP or reason why my account is being suspended.
They asked me what I was selling and the price...I said a mirror and about $50 and their answer is that I am suspended because I present a risk to the community. **bleep**
This should be illegal....Not sure where I can go here in Australia to complain but certainly this outrageous behavior deserve it.
I never had an account before or any of the other reasons I read that it could be the reason to get suspended but they just decided because....and they can't disclose the reason... this is such a joke mate

Are you, as downunder suggested, dealing with the Australian support staff?
You may find that the social media reps are better trained than the phone reps.
The dotCOM staff are on social media, but while they are well trained, they may not know about detail in Australian law.
I even check when dealing with them that they are familiar with concepts like "Canada" and "sovereign nation".
The US phone reps work for a sub-contractor somewhere in Utah. Nice people but no authority.

It was the support in the australian website...so I assume it's the australian support, otherwise how I am supposed to talk with the australian support?

We have a very different level of support offered in Au and and speaking to US rep's etc about Managed Payments for Au will cause nothing but issues.
And there is somewhere to go in AU for support, it is called the Financial Ombudsman, but again, this is the kind of the advice and information you will only receive if you post on your own boards.
Sign out of your account now, locate eBayAu - https://www.ebay.com.au/ and sign into your account from there.
You will know when you are signed in to Au - at the top left corner right above the colourful eBay logo you will not see Hi Joe, you will see G'day Joe
